Credited Auditors (Kamokutorishusei)
Undergraduate credited auditors who have been admitted to the university can take the undergraduate level courses. However, Please keep in mind that it may well be that credited auditors cannot take some coursework for a reason of classroom capacities.
If the Credited auditors achieve the passing grade in the exams, they can earn the credits. The Credited auditors who meet academic requirements will have the opportunity to apply to the National Institution for Academic Degrees for a bachelor's degree to be conferred.
Application Procedures
(A) Application forms are available in early February.
(B) Applicants must be living in Japan and submit a “Residence Card” (proof of residence in Japan). Therefore, applications from abroad are not acceptable.
(C) By ministerial ordinance, an auditor wishing to change his/her status of residence to “College Student” must take more than 1 0 hours per week of classes (except for Tokyo Campus night classes). On the other hand, other types of residence status may have different requirements. Therefore, you are advised to ask for details at the Immigration Bureau.
