欧洲最佳留学城市——丹麦哥本哈根

Copenhagen boasts the title of the best student city within Europe’s Nordic countries, according to the QS Best Student Cities 2015; in 28th place, it places ahead of Sweden’s Stockholm and Finland’sHelsinki.

Well known for its high quality of life, the Danish capital is ranked among the world’s top 10 student cities in the “desirability” category, which takes into account the overall quality of life to be had in each city, including indicators such as safety and pollution. And while all of the Nordic countries score well in these areas, Denmark goes one step further, also boasting the title of the world’s least corrupt country (joint with New Zealand).

As well as being famed for a high quality of life, thanks in part to progressive politics and clean air, the Nordic region is also known as a relatively costly place to live, and this is reflected in Copenhagen’s low score in the “affordability” category of the index, despite the relatively low tuition fees.

However, for those who manage their student budgets efficiently, the city certainly repays the investment of living costs, packing lots in to a fairly small space. This includes an impressive selection of museums, galleries and theaters, as well as parks, waterways and charming cobbled streets, with lots of cafés and independent shops to explore. If you’re interested in street fashion, Copenhagen is home to many fashion-conscious young people – particularly within the hip Nørrebro district – where monochromic layers, block-colored bikes and stripped-back sophistication are the standard.

There are three universities in Copenhagen ranked within the QS World University Rankings® 2014/15. The city’s flagship institution, the University of Copenhagen, ranks within the top 50 universities in the world at 45th, followed by the Technical University of Denmark at 123rd.
