Tuition must be paid by the designated deadline each semester (in April for the Spring semester, and in October for the Fall semester) by automatic electronic withdrawal from the bank account1 of you or your financial supporter. Newly admitted students can pay the fee by wire transfer to Chiba University's bank account for the first semester.
MEXT (Japanese Government Scholarship) students are generally exempt from tuition, admission, and examination fees. At the end of the MEXT scholarship period, certain conditions apply to entrance exam and admission fees upon proceeding to a higher degree course.
Students apart of J-PAC program are exempt from tuition fees.
The necessary fees are indicated in the table below. Plan your budget accordingly.
*Automatic Electronic Withdrawal is a system in which the fee assigned by the payee (University) is automatically transferred to the payee's bank account from your bank account on the designated date. You need to register your (or your financial supporter’s) bank account information to the university upon admission to set up this system.
