约翰霍普金斯大学凯瑞商学院申请条件

Our students live, work, and lead in a global marketplace that transcends boundaries, cultures, and nationalities. The participation of students of diverse nationalities is therefore an essential element of our programs.

The academic distinction of the university has made it a destination for students from across the globe since Johns Hopkins was established in 1876 as the first American research university. The University’s faculty is as diverse in nationality as are our students, and includes hundreds of scholars from around the world. While more than 10 percent of all students enrolled at the University are citizens of nations other than the United States, the goal for enrollment of international students in our programs is far higher.

The diverse perspectives of international students at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School help to create a shared understanding of the varied dimensions of our global economy.

  Before Applying

No federal financial aid is available for international students. International students are considered for merit scholarships with their admissions application. No separate application is needed. Please refer to our Financial Aid website for information about our endowed scholarships and scholarships available from private organizations to some international students.

As an international student, you are charged the same tuition rates as a US student. Costs for all academic programs can be found under Tuition and Fees.

As an F-1 student, you would need to show proof that you can afford all tuition and living expenses for one academic year to receive an I-20. The estimated cost of living is currently $20,327. Students should refer to the Tuition and Fees page for tuition and matriculation fee information.

We do not provide on-campus housing for any of our students. You may find it helpful to visit the Housing Resources page.

In order to receive a student (F-1) visa, you must be fully admitted to a degree program well in advance of the start of the semester (read about our deadlines).

Full-time status/full course of study is defined at the Carey Business School as enrolled in minimally 9 credits each fall and minimally 9 credits each spring semester for graduate study.

As an F-1 student enrolled in a full-course of study, you will complete your degree program within 2-3 years.

In order to comply with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regulations, if you are a newly enrolled F-1 student, you can only begin your program in the fall or spring semester.

If you have questions regarding admissions for international students, please emailcarey.admissions@jhu.edu, or call 410-234-9220 (for callers outside of the United States) or 1-877-88-CAREY.

For immigration and visa questions, email carey.intl@jhu.edu or call International Services at 410-234-9280.

  How To Apply

In addition to fulfilling the general requirements for admission, international applicants must:

Take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The preferred minimum TOEFL score is 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based), and 100 (Internet-based). The preferred minimum IELTS score is 7.0. Individual programs may require additional evidence to demonstrate English language proficiency. The TOEFL code for the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School is 0834, IELTS does not require a code.

All degrees earned or expected from outside the United States (U.S.) must be evaluated course-by-course by one of the authorized credential evaluation agencies. See the Credential Evaluation Agency section for agency contact information.

Special note for applicants with three-year undergraduate degrees from non-U.S. colleges and universities: In some situations, three-year degrees can be considered equivalent to a four-year U.S. Bachelor's degree. In these cases, applicants can apply to the Carey Business School. Before you begin your application and the credential evaluation process, please contact the Admissions Officer for your program for further guidance. Applicants can get a preview of how their degree will be evaluated by using a free tool at the World Education Services website: http://www.wes.org/evaluations/preliminary.asp

Special note: Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree outside the United States are not required to submit a course by course credential evaluation if they have earned a graduate degree at an accredited institution in the United States which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

If coursework was earned outside of the U.S. but the degree was earned in the U.S., only transcripts from all schools are required and must be in English.

Applicants to the Bachelors of Business Administration must have all coursework earned outside of the U.S. evaluated course-by-course. See the Credential Evaluation Agency section for agency contact information.

Important: for privacy and security reasons, do not send bank statements or other financial documentation with your application. You will be notified by the International Services Office when this information is required.

Application Deadlines for F-1 International Students

Please refer to the Carey Business School application deadlines, posted here. If your application and other required documents are not received on or before the deadline, you will be considered for admission at the start of the next semester.
