2016剑桥大学学费及生活费

As an overseas student at Cambridge there are three costs you need to consider. These are your:

  tuition fees

  College fees

  living expenses

You need to be able to prove that you can finance yourself for your entire course as it's not possible for you to work during the academic session to pay your way through the University. Colleges ask for financial guarantees and proof is also required when applying for a visa.

Please note that all students must ordinarily be available to study in Cambridge for the full duration of their course (with the exception of a year abroad).

  Tuition fees

Tuition fees for overseas students depend on the course you are studying (see table below).

If you're a national of a European Union (EU) country and you satisfy the residency requirements, then for fees purposes you're usually treated on exactly the same basis as UK students. See Tuition fee status if you're unsure whether you're classed as a UK/EU or an overseas student. More information can also be found on the UKCISA website and in the main finance section.

Overseas fees (per year) for students commencing in 2015–16

The tuition fees for overseas students commencing in 2015-16 have been approved as follows. You should allow for increases in subsequent years.

For overseas students undertaking a year abroad, the tuition fee payable to the University of Cambridge during their year abroad will be 50 per cent of the full fee.

Group 1
Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic; Asian and Middle Eastern Studies; Classics; Economics; Education; English; History; History of Art; Human, Social, and Political Sciences; Land Economy; Law; Linguistics; Modern and Medieval Languages; Philosophy; Theology and Religious Studies £15,063
Group 2
Mathematics £16,800
Group 3
Architecture, Geography, Music £19,713
Group 4
Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Studies, Manufacturing Engineering, Natural Sciences, Psychological and Behavioural Sciences £22,923
Group 5
Medicine and Veterinary Medicine (both Pre-Clinical and Clinical training) £36,459

  College fees

All overseas fee status students, and those UK/EU students who aren't eligible for tuition fee support (eg because they're taking a second undergraduate degree), normally have to pay College fees in addition to University tuition fees.

The College fee covers the cost to your College of providing a range of educational, domestic and pastoral services and support. College fees vary between Colleges (currently between £5,400 and £7,720 per year). See individual College websites for details and you should allow for increases in subsequent years.

  Living expenses

Your living expenses may be higher than for a UK student, for instance if you stay in Cambridge or the UK during the vacations. The minimum resources needed in Cambridge per year (excluding tuition and College fees) are estimated to be approximately £9,400, depending on your lifestyle.
