The total cost of a DU education includesdirect costs that will appear on your University bill, such as tuition, fees, and charges for room and board, as well as estimates for indirect costs such as books, transportation and personal expenses. (Sometimes you'll hear our staff also refer to your cost of attendance as your "student budget.")
Tuition rates for the following academic year are typically announced in March.

The figures below reflect sample budgets for the 2015-16 academic year (excluding summer quarter). Your actual costs will depend on a number of factors, such as the number of credit hours you take and discretionary expenses.
A traditional undergraduate student living on campus and enrolled full time(12-18 credits) will be assigned the following cost of attendance:

**A 1.072% origination fee is taken out at disbursement of Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans. The $69 listed above is the average fee for undergraduate students who borrow these loans. Actual fees will depend on the amount borrowed.
