挪威卑尔根大学留学费用

We encourage you to consider how you will finance your stay in Norway well in advance. In general, the University of Bergen offers no scholarships or financial support to students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is also important to keep in mind that you will need to be insured while in Norway.

  No Tuition Fees

The University of Bergen is a public institution and therefore does not charge tuition fees. This applies both to Norwegian and international students.

  Cost of Living

In general foreigners find Norway quite expensive. Rent at student hostels is relatively reasonable compared to many private alternatives. Travel is also considered reasonably priced for students.

In spite of the general high cost of living, you can manage fairly well on a tight student budget. The average university student's budget is approximately NOK 9785 per month (2014). This amount should cover most monthly expenses such as housing, food, clothing, study materials, books, transport and social activities.

Here are a few examples of Norwegian prices:

-One months rent at Fantoft Student Hostel for one small single room: approx. NOK 3000 (including electricity)

-Student bus card (one month): NOK 415

-Textbooks (one semester): approx. NOK 1600-3500

-Dinner at the student cafeteria: approx. NOK 55-100

-Dinner at an inexpensive restaurant: approx. NOK 100-130

  -Cinema ticket: approx. NOK 115

  -Semester fee: NOK 590

-Student membership at SiB training (one semester): NOK 990
