Housing
Students can choose out of those options, and give their 3 choices to our housing contact by email. Students can choose out of those options, and apply directly on the housing platform. Housing application details will be sent to the student with their acceptance letter. It is on a first-come, first-served basis. It will be more difficult to find housing on arrival, so we greatly advise students to register for housing as soon as we contact them.
Leasing contracts are for a one semester period minimum. Students are required to subscribe an insurance to cover personal and civil liability (this can be done once the student arrives in France).
Approximate Cost of Housing, depending on type of housing and duration of stay:
Lille: between EUR 400 and 600 per month
Paris: between EUR 400 and 850 per month
Health Insurance
European students must ask for a European Health Insurance Card in their home country.
Quebec citizens must ask for the SE401 Q106.
If European and Quebec citizens do not have these documents, they will have to subscribe to the French health insurance system.
Non-European students staying more than 3 months are obliged to subscribe to the French health insurance before arrival (around EUR 213), but we also encourage them to have an international insurance, covering them for travels, lost luggage, repatriation and civil liability.
Transportation Network
The network is managed by a single company, Transpole. One ticketwill take you anywhere, while connections between various modes of transportation are free (Tickets are about €1.50 per unit or €12.50 for 10 ticket booklets—Daily, weekly and monthly passes are at a discount rate).
