Social security insurance (compulsory)
Students from European Union :
Before your departure, you must order the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) from your local health authority. This card will allow you access to the same treatment, under the same conditions and at the same cost as students insured in France.
Non European students :
You must subscribe to the French social security system for students (SMENO or LMDE) as soon as you are registered as a student in France, and as long as you are under 28. It will cost around 215 € per year. Social security insurance will allow you access to the same treatment, under the same conditions and at the same cost as domestic French students.
Civil liability Insurance (compulsory)
As an ENSCL student, you must be covered by a civil liability insurance regarding both academic and extra-curricular activities.This insurance covers you in case of physical injury during and after school hours and for any material damage during your stay in France.

Home Insurance (compulsory)
Home insurance provides protection for your housing, furniture, personal belongings and also equips you with a civil liability insurance.
Price : starting at 25€ per year
