  Practical Information for Incoming Students

  Health Insurance

  EU Students

EU students must bring their own European Health Insurance Card. This card entitles the holder to public medical assistance during his/her temporary stay (please note that the card cannot be used for private health care services).

  Non-EU Students

Health insurance is another essential prerequisite, for without a Health Insurance policy non-EU students cannot obtain a Permit of Stay and a study visa. it will be mandatory for the students to obtain a new policy upon their arrival in Italy. “INA Assitalia”, an Italian insurance company, offers a policy that covers only medical emergencies at the cost of € 98 for an entire year and € 49 for a six-month period.

It must be noted, however, that once non-EU students have obtained their Permit of Stay they can decide to receive full medical assistance by registering with the National Health Service (SSN) at the USL (Local Health Unit) with a single payment of €149.77.

  Accommodation and Wi-Fi

We can provide our Incoming Students with suitable accommodations in one of our Halls of Residence.

Double rooms (two people sharing the same room) are usually available. Please note that due to the limited number of available rooms, applications are prioritized according to their date of submission. The monthly rent cost per person for Incoming Students, in a shared, double-room apartment, is €150, including all utility costs.

  Meals

  Cafeterias

Both enrolled and Incoming Students have the possibility to benefit from the services of the Adisu cafeterias, where food quality is a top priority, whether it is local or international cuisine that is being served.

In order to be able to take advantage of student cafeterias and special prices, Incoming Students must possess a Mensa (Cafeteria) card. To obtain this card, students must go to the Adisu Headquarters and pay a € 2 single fee.

  Cost of living

Each student has different needs and it can therefore be difficult to estimate monthly living costs. However, an average student who shares a flat with other students and who mainly eats at home rather than in restaurants, will spend around € 700/800 a month (on rent, food, books, public transport, going out).
