Accommodation
Most of our international incoming students wish to find a suitable affordable accommodation before their arrival in Lecce; for many of them is their first experience away from home. Our Academy try to help students find private flats to share with other foreign students.
A bed in a room to share is about 160,00 euros a month (students can also use common kitchens).
Public transport
Bus service covers the centre of the city and the suburbs (Autolinee Urbane).
Students are entitled to reduced tickets.
Shopping
In general, the cost of living is lower in a southern town as Lecce than in the big cities in the central
or northern part of Italy. Lecce has a lot of really nice shops, but it is advisable to buy basic necessities (food, toilet articles, clothes) in supermarkets rather than in small stores.
Shops are closed on Sunday.
Opening hours normally are: 09.00- 13.00 / 17.00- 20.30
Supermarkets are closed on Thursday afternoon.
