Entry requirements
We will normally consider qualifications from all over the world.
We tend to refer to entry requirements in terms of standard British qualifications (A-levels, or a 'good honours degree'). However, admissions tutors at Leeds are familiar with international qualifications and welcome applications from students with equivalent qualifications. If you consider yourself to be a good student within your own educational system, then it is likely there will be an appropriate entry point for you in Leeds. For advice on whether your qualifications are acceptable please email the international office at internationaloffice@leeds.ac.uk
Research degree candidates normally hold a first-class or second-class honours degree, or equivalent qualification, in a subject relevant to their proposed field of research. Candidates whose first language is not English must provide evidence that their English language is sufficient to meet the specific demands of their study.
English language requirements
If English is not your first language, you will need a recognised English Language qualification to be admitted onto any of the University's degree programmes.
