  School of Law

  The following tuition rates apply to the 2015-16 academic year and are expected to increase in subsequent years. The Law School prices tuition based on the degree pursued rather than the length of enrollment. Students who graduate early are still responsible for the full tuition amount. Generally, tuition is billed on a semester or quarterly basis.

  JD Programs

  JD and Two-Year JD for International Lawyers Degree Programs

  $58,098

  Accelerated JD Degree Program (Suspended Indefinitely):

  Summer 2015: $33,680

  Fall 2015/Spring 2016: $69,718

  The Accelerated JD program begins in the summer term, which is part of the 2014-15 academic year. Tuition rates change in the fall, and the fall/spring terms reflect the 2015-16 academic year rates. Accelerated JD students will be billed tuition in their initial summer, fall, and spring terms. They will not be billed tuition in their second summer term, but will be billed for their second fall and spring terms.

  JD-MBA Degree Program

  $81,484

  Students who are admitted to the JD-MBA Program during their first year of law school are charged the first-year JD-MBA Program tuition rate. The difference between the first-year JD-MBA Program tuition rate and the JD Program tuition rate is assessed at the start of the summer term.

  JD-LLM in Taxation Degree Program

  First Year and Second Year: $58,098

  Third Year (including 7th semester): $88,052

  Under both the 6-semester and 7-semester formats, students pay the equivalent of 3 years of JD tuition plus half of the annual LLM in Taxation degree tuition. Under the 6-semester format, the additional LLM in Taxation tuition amount is applied to a student's tuition bill during the Spring semester of the third year at the prevailing LLM in Taxation tuition rate. Under the 7-semester format, the additional LLM in Taxation tuition amount is applied at the time the student returns to complete his/her seventh semester of coursework.

  JD-LLM in International Human Rights Degree Program

  First Year – Third Year: $58,098

  Fourth Year: Half tuition of the LLM amount

  JD Non-Degree and/or Auditing Fee

  $2,905 per credit hour

  Joint Degrees with Non-Northwestern University Graduate Programs

  Although typically in residence at the Law School for less than 6 semesters, students who pursue a joint degree with a non-Northwestern University graduate program are charged 6 semesters of Northwestern Law JD tuition. Students in these joint degree programs who were awarded a Law School scholarship upon admission to the JD program will also receive 6 semesters of their scholarship. The final tuition charge and grant/scholarship award will be applied to a student's account during their final term in the joint degree program.

  MSL students who surpass 28 credit hours will be charged a one-time extended studies fee of $1,500.

  School of Engineering

  MASTER OF ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT

  -TUITION

  Tution is $4,651 per course. If students take four courses per quarter, they are charged by the quarterly rate of $15,882. Your total tuition cost will depend on the number of courses you take per quarter, and the number of quarters you require to complete the 12 courses. In addition, all full-time students also have a $100 MEM Activity Fee per quarter.

  -COST OF LIVING

  International students and students who plan to live off campus should anticipate annual cost of living expenses of $18,000 to 22,000.

  -ADDITIONAL COSTS

  $2,500 for textbooks

  $3,000 for NU health insurance

  $5,000 miscellaneous (personal, transportation, etc)

  -TOTAL COST

  The total cost of the MEM degree will be about $70,000 to $73,000 depending on the student's needs.

  MASTER OF SCIENCE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  -TUITION & FINANCIAL AID

  Tuition for the 2015-2016 academic year is $4,052 per course, $16,208 per quarter (four course units), or $48,624 per academic year (three quarters). Tuition and fees are the same for both domestic and international students. Annual increases in these costs have typically been about five percent.

  -COST OF LIVING

  International students and students who plan to live off campus should anticipate annual cost of living expenses to be $18,000 to $22,000.

  -ADDITIONAL COSTS

  $2,500 for textbooks

  $3,692 for Northwestern University health insurance

  $5,000 miscellaneous (personal, transportation, etc)

  MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ANALYTICS

  -TOTAL COST OF THE PROGRAM

  The total cost of the Master of Science in Analytics degree is about $85,000 to $90,000, depending on the student's needs for cost of living.

  -TUITION

  The Master of Science in Analytics tuition for the 2015-2016 academic year is $16,208 per quarter. Tuition is due for the fall, winter, and spring quarters but not the summer.

  -ADDITIONAL EXPENSES TO BE CONSIDERED:

  On-campus annual cost of living expenses of $22,000

  Approximately $500-$1,000 for textbooks

  Northwestern University health insurance

  $5,000 miscellaneous (personal, transportation, etc.)

  MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ROBOTICS

  -TUITION AND EXPENSES

  For the 2015-2016 academic year the Master of Science in Robotics tuition is $16,208 per quarter, and the program requires four quarters of full-time enrollment. If a student participates in a summer internship, no tuition is due during that quarter. Failure to complete all program requirements during the four quarters of full-time enrollment may result in additional tuition costs.

  -Additional expenses may include:

  Approximate on-campus annual cost of living: $22,000

  Northwestern student health plan (required for international students): $3,449

  Miscellaneous expenses (books, transportation, etc.): $5,000

  The total cost of the MSR program can be expected to be in range of $85,000 to $95,000, depending on student needs.

  MASTER OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

  -FULL-TIME OPTIONS

  Tuition costs are based on what full-time option you decide you to enroll in. Please review the following tuition costs below based on program options.

  -THREE-QUARTER OPTION

  Per quarter: $15,252

  Total cost: $45,756

  -FOUR-QUARTER OPTION

  Per quarter: $15,252

  Final quarter: $5,481 per course

  Total cost: $61,008

  Please note: The MSIT program does not offer any financial aid, stipends, or teaching assistantships.

  -COST OF LIVING

  The Northwestern University International Office estimates the campus-wide living cost (room, board and health insurance only) for nine months for 2015-2016 as $17,135.
