Undergraduate
To apply for our undergraduate courses you'll need good grades in your Senior High School Graduation Examination and/or the Chinese University Entrance Examination. If you're a high school leaver, you must also take an International Foundation Year or equivalent such as the academic foundation offered by Plymouth University International College (PUIC) and our University Partner Colleges.
Postgraduate
For postgraduate courses, you'll need a bachelors degree (with high grades), a masters degree from a ranked Chinese university or a good honours degree from a British university. If you don't have a bachelor degree but do have a three year diploma (Dazhuan) or equivalent, you may apply to our top up programmes. Contact us for more information:international-admissions@plymouth.ac.uk
Visa requirements
You'll need prior entry clearance (a visa) if you're coming from China to study in the UK.
Contact the British High Commission to begin your visa application process as soon as you've been accepted onto your course. You'll need a CAS form (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies), and to show that you have enough money to fund your education and living expenses in the UK. We'll send more detailed information about visa application if you're successful in securing your place at Plymouth University.
Make sure you allow enough time for your application to be processed.
