International Freshman Admission Requirements
Admission to the University of Miami is very competitive. Applicants are considered based on the strength of their high school curriculum and grades earned, standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, essay, extracurricular activities, and awards/achievements.

Applicants studying outside the United States
The SAT/ACT report is not required and should not be submitted for admission consideration from applicants who are attending schools outside the United States.
Applicants studying within the United States
Have your official SAT/ACT scores sent directly from the testing agency. Beginning in Spring 2016, applicants may submit scores from either the current or redesigned SAT. Please note that for the SAT, we consider only the reading and math sections for admission.
