Academic Requirements
Completed High School Degree
2.5 out of 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) in high school coursework
Programs with different GPA requirements:
College of Engineering: a 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA is required for admission to all programs.
College of Architecture, Planning, and Design: a 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA is recommended for admission to all programs. Proof of Englishproficiency is also required for admission to all programs. Go here for the tests and scores we accept as proof of English.
College of Human Ecology: a 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA is recommended for admission to Interior Design and Athletic Training.
SAT or ACT scores are not required for admission to any programs at Kansas State University.
But, SAT or ACT scores are recommended as part of a strong application to these programs:
All majors in the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design
Interior Design and Athletic Training in the College of Human Ecology
English Proficiency Requirements
Students applying for undergraduate admission are not required to provide proof of English proficiency in order to be admitted at Kansas State University. If a student does not provide proof of English proficiency, the student will be required to take our English Proficiency Test on campus when they arrive. The student may then be placed in English classes full- or part-time, before beginning their degree program full-time.
If a student would like to provide proof of English proficiency before arriving on campus, we accept the tests and minimum scores below:

PLEASE NOTE: Once students take the English Proficiency Test (EPT) and are assigned to English classes, their only option to show English proficiency is by completing the English Language Program. TOEFL and other test scores reported after students take the EPT cannot be used to waive English classes.

2. $80 USD application fee
Kansas State University cannot grant fee waivers for the international application fee.
3. A copy of your passport photo page
4. Affidavit of Financial Support (pdf) and bank statement
5. High school and university transcripts
Transcripts for ALL academic coursework must be submitted. If you have completed any coursework above the secondary level, transcripts must be submitted for this. This includes all university, college, vocational, community college, or technical coursework. Transcripts from U.S. universities must be sent directly from the registrar's office at that university to our office of admissions. All transcripts must be translated into English. Failure to submit transcripts for all academic work can lead to denial of admission or dismissal from the university.
