Definitions
Tuition & Fees
The average cost of tuition and fees based on 12 hours per semester enrollment for undergraduate students and nine hours for graduate students (fall or spring), or nine hours of enrollment for undergraduate students and three hours for graduate students (summer). Actual costs will vary depending on the student’s degree or certificate program.
Room & Board
The average cost per semester to live in the city of Austin while attending the university. Actual costs may vary by individual choices related to location and circumstances. The on- and off-campus costs assume a roommate. Room and board costs will not be adjusted based on individual choices unless there are unusual circumstances for which a student successfully appeals. Additional information about the cost of on-campus housing is published by the Division of Housing and Food Service.
