You are an international freshman if you:
are not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or
are not graduating from a Texas high school after three years in residence in Texas
Admission Application
Submit your application through APPLYTEXAS or THE COALITION. Only one application per student. Choice of application has no bearing on the admission decision. The name entered on the application must match the name on your passport. If your name does not fit in the space provided, enter as many characters as the space will allow.
ApplyTexas
Texas residents are encouraged to complete the ApplyTexas application, a centralized admission application to all public and many private and community colleges in Texas.
OR
The Coalition
Texas A&M University will begin accepting the Coalition for Access, Affordabilty, and Success application on September 1, 2016. The Coalition application is a centralized admissions application and toolkit to numerous institutions across the U.S.

Checks or money orders (U.S. dollars) should be made payable to Texas A&M University. Checks or money orders are accepted provided they display an agency bank in the United States and have magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) routing numbers at the bottom.

OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT
Submit an official high school or senior secondary transcript according to the education system of your country (generally the last three to four years).
If enrolled in the final year of secondary education at the time of application, an official transcript showing completed and in-progress coursework must be received by the deadline.
If you have attended multiple schools (including US accredited schools) then a transcript is required from each institution.
If you transferred your foreign credits to a US school then only the US transcript is needed.
If your educational system includes O-levels and A-levels then the completed O-level results and projected A-level results must be received by the deadline.
If graduated from high school an official transcript is required; it must include senior courses, a graduation plan and date of graduation.
To be considered official:
Transcript(s) must have an original signature of a school official (Registrar, Principal, Controller of Examinations or the Ministry of Education) or an original school seal.
All foreign transcripts must include an English translation prepared by a recognized translation service and include all original seals and/or signatures.
PREFERRED > transcript can be uploaded in AIS (final high school transcripts may not be uploaded through AIS)

The highest composite or total score from a single test date will be considered for admission.

PROOF OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit proof of English proficiency. For admission purposes must meet one of the criteria listed below. Please Note:English language proficiency requirements for enrollment may be greater than those required for admission.
a minimum TOEFL score of: 550 for paper-based testing (p-BT) or 80 internet-based testing (i-BT)
a minimum SAT Critical Reading (Verbal) score of 500
a minimum ACT English score of 21
a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 overall band
a minimum PTE Academic score of 53
completing all four years in a high school within the U.S.
