  MBA/MS APPLICATION PROCESS

  If you have a U.S. bachelor’s degree in any field (or the foreign equivalent), you may be eligible for admission to one of our graduate business programs. The minimum admissions requirements are:

  U.S. bachelor's degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 from a regionally accredited college or university (or comparable foreign degree)

  A minimum 3.0 GPA in any graduate level coursework completed

  Be in good academic standing with all colleges attended

  TOEFL IBT (80+), TOEFL PBT (550+), IELTS Academic (6.5+), PTEAcademic (67), MELAB (80) or iTEP (3.9+) scores (only required for visa holders without US degree)

  *Please use school code 006868 (University of Dallas, Graduate Business Admissions) when requesting official test scores to be submitted to our institution.

  GRADUATE LIBERAL ARTS ADMISSIONS

  While admissions criteria vary by program, all applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree before enrolling in any of the Braniff Graduate School’s programs.

  Application Requirements

  Institute of Philosophic Studies Doctoral Program

  Application for admission includes:

  A completed online application form

  Two letters of recommendation

  A statement of purpose

  An intellectual autobiography

  A sample of academic writing

  Official transcripts sent directly to the Braniff Graduate Office from each college or university attended by the applicant (even if no credit or degree was earned).

  GRE General Test scores not more than three years previous to the date of the application.

  Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree. They should have an undergraduate major or equivalent evidence of suitable background for entering the proposed field.

  American Studies

  Application for admission to the Master of American Studies includes:

  A completed online application form

  Two letters of recommendation

  A statement of purpose

  An intellectual autobiography

  A sample of academic writing

  Official transcripts sent directly to the Braniff Graduate Office from each college or university attended by the applicant (even if no credit or degree was earned).

  Completion of a bachelor's degree is a prerequisite to entrance.

  Art

  Application for admission to the Master of Arts in Art (M.A.) includes:

  A completed online application form

  Two letters of recommendation

  A statement of purpose

  A portfolio of at least ten representative works

  Official transcripts sent directly to the Braniff Graduate Office from each college or university attended by the applicant (even if no credit or degree was earned).

  Possession of a bachelor’s degree is prerequisite for entering the Master of Arts in Art program.

  The Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.), the accepted terminal degree for studio artists, requires the completion of the Master of Arts in Art program from the University of Dallas or another college and acceptance by the full graduate art faculty. Students entering the program with an M.A. from another institution have their work and knowledge examined by the faculty after completion of nine to fifteen hours of study at UD.

  Classics

  Application for admission to the Master of Arts in Classics or the Master of Classics includes:

  A completed online application form

  Two letters of recommendation

  A statement of purpose

  An intellectual autobiography

  A sample of academic writing

  Possession of a bachelor's degree is prerequisite to matriculating, but not necessarily one in the humanities. Non-degree seeking students are welcome to participate after consulting with the Graduate Director in Classics.Nota bene: Knowledge of Latin or Greek is not a prerequisite for admission to the program.

  Classical Education

  To find out if you are eligible for the Classical Education Program, please inquire to your principal or headmaster regarding your school's current or potential partnership with University of Dallas Braniff Graduate School.

  English

  Application for admission to the Master of Arts in English or the Master of English includes:

  A completed online application form

  Two letters of recommendation

  A 750-word statement of purpose

  An intellectual autobiography

  A sample of academic writing

  Official transcripts sent directly to the Braniff Graduate Office from each college or university attended by the applicant (even if no credit or degree was earned)

  General GRE test scores (from within the last three years).

  Applications will be evaluated regardless of undergraduate major.

  Humanities

  Application for admission to the Master of Arts in Humanities or the Master of Humanities includes:

  A completed online application form

  Two letters of recommendation

  A statement of purpose

  An intellectual autobiography

  A sample of academic writing

  Possession of a bachelor’s degree is prerequisite to matriculating but not necessarily one in the humanities. Non-degree seeking student's are welcome to participate after consulting with the Director.

  Philosophy

  Application for admission to the Master of Arts in Philosophy includes:

  A completed online application form

  GRE General Test scores not more than three years previous to the date of the application.

  Possession of a bachelor's degree is prerequisite to matriculating in the program. Ordinarily candidates should have attained a bachelor's degree in the discipline. However, at least 15 credit hours of course work that covers classical metaphysics, ethics and the history of philosophy is prerequisite to graduate studies in philosophy.

  Politics

  Application for admission to the Master of Arts in Politics or the Master of Politics includes:

  Psychology

  Application for admission to the Master of Psychology, Master of Psychology with Clinical Concentration, or the Master of Arts in Psychology includes:

  Admission as a graduate student in psychology is contingent upon an academic foundation in the discipline of psychology. This foundation can be demonstrated by the successful completion (a grade of B or better) of at least a three credit course in each, General Psychology and Statistics/Experimental Design, or other course offerings as determined by the program director.

  Theology

  Application for admission to the Master of Arts in Theology or the Master of Theology includes:

  A completed online application form

  Two letters of recommendation

  A statement of purpose

  An intellectual autobiography

  GRE General Test scores not more than three years previous to the date of the application.

  Possession of a bachelor's degree is a prerequisite.

  Further requirements include:

  Some background in philosophy in the case of M.Th. applicants and a minimum of nine undergraduate credits in philosophy for M.A. applicants. These requirements may be waived if applicants demonstrate competency in philosophy.

  A sufficiently strong background in theology and preferably an undergraduate philosophy major. Applicants’ backgrounds will be individually evaluated and in case of deficiency, students will be required to acquire the necessary theological foundations by taking appropriate courses and/or by directed individual study.

  Please note that some of the required materials make take significant amounts of time for you to obtain or have sent to the University of Dallas. We recommend that you plan well in advance of the application deadline to obtain letters of recommendation, standardized test scores (e.g. GRE and TOEFL), official transcripts, etc. These items must arrive to the Braniff Graduate Office prior to the deadline in order for your application to be considered. Application fees will not be refunded if required materials are not received on time.

  Neuhoff School of Ministry

  In order to be considered for admission to the Neuhoff School of Ministry, you must provide the following items. Please click on each if you need more detail.

  A completed application form

  Nonrefundable application fee of $50

  Online applications will receive a discounted application fee of $25, payable via credit card at the end of the online application. Paper applications will be charged a $50 fee (payable by check only). Applications received without the fee will not be reviewed.

  Official Transcripts from Colleges/ Universities Attended

  An official transcript must be received directly from every institution attended, even if no credit was earned.

  Transcripts issued to students are not considered official and will not be accepted.

  Please note that there is an additional one-time fee of $175 for the evaluation of international transcripts. This fee may be paid by check or online.

  Three letters of recommendation

  One letter should be provided by each of the following: a pastor, a professor or employer, and a lay leader who has taught or worked with the applicant in a ministerial context. Letters from relatives or friends will not be accepted.

  Forms provided by the School of Ministry should be used. Both the recommendation form and a personal letter from each recommender must be received by the application deadline for your application to be considered for admission.

  Three brief essays

  Theological reflection essay (500 words) on a short reading selection

  Autobiographical essay (250 words)

  Statement of goals and objectives (250 words)

  International Students

  International students must provide the following for their application to be considered complete:

  Demonstration of English language proficiency, normally achieved by presenting an acceptable score of 80 (IBT) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or by holding a degree from an accredited English language college or university.

  International transcript evaluation fee of $175

  Proof of nonimmigrant status (if currently residing in U.S.)

  Copy of the front of Permanent Resident Card (if applicable or, if you have filed the I-485 for a green card, a copy of the USCIS Receipt Notice)

  Confirmation of Financial Resources Form (F1 Visa holders only)

  Bank statement (F1 Visa holders only)
