2017 fees for domestic undergraduate students at AUT: tuition and other charges
All domestic undergraduate students must pay tuition fees and other fees related to student services and facilities (except distance-learning and exchange students). There may be other fees and charges that you will need to pay.
Tuition fees for domestic undergraduate students
The compulsory tuition fee for a year of full-time study is:
$5880 (GST incl) to $6324 (GST incl) for 120 points
The amount you pay within this range depends on the combination of papers you study in your degree or other course
Part-time students pay a proportion of the full-time fee
Courses for which you must pay undergraduate tuition fees
You must pay undergraduate tuition fees if you are enrolled in any of the following programmes at AUT University:
Certificate
Diploma
Bachelor's degree
Graduate diploma
Graduate certificate
Other fees
2017 Compulsory Student Services Fee - $614.80 for 120 points or $5.12 per academic point (GST incl)
2017 Building Levy - $68.20 for 120 points or $0.57 per academic point (GST incl)
Distance learning students and exchange students are exempt from these fees because they don't use the campus services and facilities. Distance learning means that the teaching department have confirmed that no portion of the paper is taught on campus.
Please note:
Some individual papers may also charge additional fees for materials, equipment or field trips where applicable. If there is a charge it will be shown on your invoice. Please check with your faculty/department if there are additional fees for your programme of study.
