福布斯新出的这份榜单叫做America's Top Colleges,这个排名方法跟以往的榜单都有所不同。以往的榜单往往主要依据的是学校的学术表现、学科排名、SAT分数、平均GPA和录取率等方面,如果以投资的角度看,我们可以将这些指标视为“投入”指标,即要求学生付出最多努力才能进入的学校名单。
而America's Top Colleges这份榜单则是从“产出”指标来衡量,即最能让学生有所回报的学校名单。榜单所依据的数据主要来源于Center for College Affordability and Productivity、美国教育部及Payscale网站。
衡量指标主要有:
学生毕业后成功率(32.5%)
1. 毕业生早期及职业中期薪资水平(10%)
由Payscale网站提供的毕业校友薪资数据及由美国教育部提供的校友纳税记录综合所得
2. 对社会产生重大影响或有重大成就的校友数量(22.5%)
依据有:福布斯公布的最有影响力的女性、30 Under 30、全球2000名CEO等榜单、诺贝尔奖获得者、普利策奖获得者、各种国家级荣誉获得者、艾美奖、格莱美奖获得者等。
学生贷款率(25%)
1. 平均学生贷款债务额(10%);
2. 学生贷款违约率(12.5%);
3. 采取联邦贷款的学生预计比例vs实际比例(2.5%)。
学生满意度(25%)
1. 成功完成大一升入大二的学生实际比例(12.5%);
2. 成功完成大一升入大二的学生预测比例(2.5%);
3. RateMyProfessors网站上的教授满意度(10%)。
毕业率(7.5%)
1. 实际四年毕业率(5%);
2. 实际/预计四年毕业率(2.5%)。
学术成功率(10%)
1. 获得罗德奖学金、国家科学基金会及富布莱特奖学金的学生数(7.5%);
2. 继续攻读PhD学位的学生数(2.5%)。
