Applicants and both their parents should have non-Korean nationality
Academic Requirements
Freshman
∙ The applicant must have completed or will complete regular high school(graduate or graduate-to-be)
TransferApplicants who have finished 2 years or 4 semesters (2 semesters per 1 year, not including summer school and any semester/session held in the vacation period) in 4-year universities and have obtained more than 1/2 of graduation credits or graduates(graduates-to-be) of 2 or 3 year colleges
Dual Degree
Applicants must have completed or will have completed at least 2 years or 4 semesters (2 semesters a year, excluding summer and winter terms) at a sister university of Ajou and have obtained 50% of the graduation requirement credits(or higher) of the home universities
∙ Applicants who were recommended by the Ajou’s sister university that has signed a dual degree agreement with Ajou university
∙ Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) B (or 80/100) or higher on all courses from the home university
Language Proficiency
Korean Track
∙ TOPIK level 3 or
∙ Have completed(or expected to complete) Korean language level 3 or
∙ Have completed(expected to complete) Ajou Foundation Program(AFP) stage 3
English Track
Obtained a certain level of English Proficiency test Score
Dual Degree
TOPIK level 3 or
∙ Obtained a certain level of English Proficiency Score (IELTS 6.5 or other-state authorized English proficiency test score commensurate with the requirement)
※ Important Notes
○ Applicants whose mother tongue is English or who have completed Primary and secondary school curriculum and finished 2 years in university (or equivalent period) in English overseas is able to apply without English proficiency test score
○ If a student and any one of the student's parents has dual citizenship with Korea, the student is not eligible for application. Korea-born adoptees of foreign nationality are considered as foreign nationals only if they acquired the foreign nationality before entering elementary school (Grade 1)
○ Total years of education will be counted based on the Korean educational system (Overseas education years will be counted as follows: From Grade 1 to 6 to be elementary school, from Grade 7 to 9 to be middle school, from Grade 10 to 12 to be high school)
○ In principle, for those students whose country’s formal education from elementary school to high school is less than twelve years, only the students who completed the full school years that are approved by Korean Ministry of Education as equivalent to Korean high school will be considered as qualified high school graduates. However, in general, the qualification as a legitimate high school graduate will be judged taking account of each country’s educational system based on Korean formal educational system
○ GED or other high school equivalency certificates are not considered as high school diploma
