Tuition fees for 2017-18
The following tuition fees apply to new and continuing students studying in the 2017-18 academic year.
Home/EU
Most students would be charged the following tuition fees:
Full-time students who start a new course in 2017 | £9,250, subject to Parliamentary approval |
Full-time students who started in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016 | £9,000 |
Part-time students | Pro rata to full-time students |
However, in the following circumstances, the tuition fee can vary from those shown above:
Students on a sandwich (work placement) year, whose course started in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016 | £1,800 |
Students on an ERASMUS or study exchange year outside the UK, whose course started in September 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016 | £1,350 |
International
Note that the following tuition fees are for the 2017-18 academic year only, and are subject to an inflationary adjustment (of up to a maximum of a 5% increase) in subsequent years of a student’s course.

Students who started in September 2015 | £16,760 |
Students who started in September 2014 | £16,230 |

Islands
Students from the Channel Islands and Isle of Man are charged at the same rate as Home/EU fee status students (see above) if they are being funded by their island’s authority for higher education.
