1.College of Business
We are a globally-oriented business school at the centre of a thriving region in Hong Kong, China. We offer world class teaching and research facilities at our main Kowloon campus, conveniently placed in the heart of Hong Kong. We are a leading Business Education Hub, working in China for the world. We aspire to deliver leadership in applied business research and education which reflects the region's longstanding strengths in international finance, management and manufacturing.
Our research effort flows into innovative, cross disciplinary channels. The College has a history of working on research projects which benefit the wider community and in 2014 we were delighted to receive the news that we are to lead a Theme-Based Research Scheme project on health care: Delivering 21st Century Healthcare in Hong Kong – Building a Quality-and-Efficiency Driven System, supported by a grant of HKD 20.45 million and led by Project Coordinator, Prof of Management Sciences, Frank Chen.
We have also expanded our research infrastructure with the establishment of the China Business and Economic Development Research Centre. The centre’s Director, Prof William Yang Hai-bin, leads research in regional economic development, financial policy studies, and business model innovations.
The College’s range of programmes continues to expand, and in September 2014 we held the orientation for our first ever cohort of Master of Business Administration (Executive) Programme (Chinese) (EMBA Chinese), new students attending from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, and Shenzhen.
We have also been busy improving our College support infrastructure. The College has established a Business Career Development unit for undergraduates which aims to offer a customized dialogue with each student. The service helps students to explore careers options, build competitiveness, set up career talks, and partners with employers to recruit talents.
1.商学院
商学院是一所立足于香港繁华地区、以全球为指向的学院。商学院位于香港中心地带的九龙校区，有世界级的教学和研究设施。商学院是顶尖的商务教育中心，立足于中国，服务于世界。我们渴望在应用商务研究和教育领域传播领导力。应用商务教育和研究反映了区域在国际金融、管理和制造领域长久以来的优势。
我们的研究努力将我们引向创新跨学科渠道。商学院长久以来从事于研究项目，服务于更广大社区。2014年，我们很高兴得知我们将领导一个主题研究计划。此外，我们也在扩展我们的研究基础设施，建立了中国商务与经济研发中心。中心主任杨海滨教授领导研究区域经济发展、金融政策研究和商务模式创新。

此外，我们一直在不断改善我们学院的基础设施建设。为此，商学院为本科生建立了商务职业发展中心，为每位学生提供量身定做的交流。这项服务帮助学生探索就业选择，增强竞争力，开展职业发展讲座，与雇主合作招聘优秀学生。
2.College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
In keeping with the mission of the University, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) actively pursues excellence in teaching, research and scholarly activities in humanities and social sciences, and places strong emphasis on development of the whole person through a well-rounded and broad-based professional education.
CLASS has seven departments: Applied Social Sciences; Asian and International Studies; Chinese and History; English; Linguistics and Translation; Media and Communication; and Public Policy.
CLASS programmes are designed to meet Hong Kong society's rising demand for policy planners, urban managers, public administrators, human service practitioners, language educators, corporate communicators and professionals in the fields of media and communication. In addition to undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes, the College also offers research degree programmes at MPhil and PhD levels.
The College has a robust research culture and a broad research agenda focusing on language, culture, communications, society, government, public administration, social policy, and human service intervention. There are four College research centres: Centre for Communication Research, Centre for East Asian and Comparative Philosophy, Southeast Asia Research Centre and The Halliday Centre for Intelligent Applications of Language Studies. Academic staff members of the College come from different parts of the world. They constitute a highly versatile, dynamic and multidisciplinary team of scholars with strong international links and professional expertise.
2.人文社会科学院
为了履行学校使命，人文社会科学院在人文社科领域积极追求优秀的教学、研究和学术活动，重点培养学生全面发展，为学生提供全面、广泛的专业教育。
人文社会科学院分七个部门，分别是应用社会科学、亚洲与国际研究、汉语与历史、英语、语言学与翻译、媒体与传播以及公共政策。
人文社会科学院旨在满足香港社会日益增长的政策规划、城市管理、公共管理、人力服务实践、语言教育、企业通讯以及媒体与传播领域专业人才需求。人文社会科学院除了提供本科生和授课型研究生课程，还提供研究型学位课程。
人文社会科学院有充满活力的研究文化和广泛的研究议程，集中研究语言、文化、传播、社会、治理、公共管理、社会政策和人力服务干预。人文社会科学院有四个研究中心，分别是传播研究中心、东亚及比较哲学中心、东南亚研究中心和哈利迪语言研究智能应用中心。人文社会科学院的学术教员来自世界各地，组成了高产量、生动活泼和跨学科的学者团队，具备有强力的国际联系和专业知识。
3.College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences
City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is a global university committed to discovery, innovation and the improvement of quality of life.
Since 2014, CityU has launched its Life Sciences Initiative with the establishment of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and the School of Veterinary Medicine. Both of the academic units flourished by themselves, and now are integrated under the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (CVMLS) to create a leading Centre of excellence in veterinary and biomedical education. We conduct transformational research for the understanding and betterment of animal and human health.
The College’s premier educational programme, the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, is the first professional veterinary degree offered in Hong Kong. It is also the first one seeking international accreditation by the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC) in Asia, and a “Letter of Reasonable Assurance” was granted in March 2017 and we are confident to continue on the pathway towards full accreditation. We are looking forward to receiving the first cohort of veterinary students here at CityU in September this year. Our veterinary facilities are growing with the acquisition of Peace Avenue Veterinary Clinic and the establishment of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory on campus, as well as others in various locations.
The College also offers two bachelor degree programmes, a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (BMS) and a BSc in Biological Sciences (BIO), through the Department of Biomedical Sciences. The BMS programme is designed to equip students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in biomedical sciences with emphasis on clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, cytopathology and hematology, which is undergoing accreditation by the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (London) for the graduates to seek professional registration with the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board of Hong Kong. The BIO programme provides a rigorous, broad-spectrum curriculum in biological sciences including biochemistry, genetics, molecular and cell biology, and systems biology and bioinformatics, which aims to nurture students to embark on professional, educational, scientific or technical careers in life sciences, healthcare, biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
Since September 2014, we have also successfully launched an interdisciplinary PhD programme in the areas of comparative biomedical science, immunology and infectious diseases, molecular and systemic neuroscience, and public health and epidemiology, with joint supervision by the faculty of Cornell University’s CVM.
The College has a growing team of world-class faculty with state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative environment. We promote interdisciplinary research under the One Health paradigm, integrating knowledge discovery, clinical care and translation. We aim to become global leaders in cancer biology, neuroscience, regenerative medicine and nanomedicine for disease detection, prevention and eradication. We strive to enhance public health, food safety, animal care, and the prevention and control of infectious diseases in Hong Kong and the region.
3.动物医学及生命科学院
香港城市大学是一所致力于发展、创新和改善生活质量的全球性大学。
2014年以来，香港城市大学启动了生命科学倡议，建立了生物医学科学部和动物医学学院。这两个学术部门各自都获得了发展，现在已隶属于动物医学及生命科学院，以期学院成为动物医学和生物医学教育的优质中心。我们为理解和改善动物与人的健康从事转化研究。
