　　College of Social Science

　　The College of Social Science trains opinion leaders in the social science field. The College of Social Sciences is a place where students learn practical and international knowledge of the information society and explore knowledge that covers basic and applied studies in social science. Hanyang University's College of Social Science is cultivating talented individuals who are able to systematically research and analyze social nature and social issues through four specialized fields: political diplomacy, society, media communication, and tourism.

　　College of Natural Science

　　Hanyang University’s College of Natural Science has four majors: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences. The college has 73 full-time professors, 954 undergraduates, and 241 graduate students.

　　The goal of the College of Natural Science is to become the top-ranked world-class research-oriented college in Korea by strengthening and characterizing education, cultivating excellent research groups, and fortifying international cooperation. According to the 2008 statistical data of Hanyang University, the R&D expenses of the Natural Science professors totaled 12 billion KRW(An average of 187 million KRW per professor), including large-scale government projects such as BK21, SRC and SERC; a creativity project by the Ministry of Science and Technology; National Research Laboratory (NRL); and a research center of the Ministry of Education.A total of 261 research reports (4.1 report per professor) were published in internationally renown SCI-level academic journals and received recognition both nationally and abroad.

　　自然科学学院有四个专业，分别是数学、物理、化学和生命科学。自然科学学院目前有73为全职教师，954名本科生和241名研究所。

　　College Of Policy Science

　　The most important factor driving modern society is knowledge, power, and the economy. These elements are related to each other through means of law. Disputes are prevented or resolved and social reform is ultimately pursued through law. Philosophy is fundamentally exploring the nature and phenomenon of things. Political Science studies political phenomena related to the acquisition, maintenance, and exercise of power while Economics is interested in the phenomenon and policy surrounding the distribution of scarce resources within society. Law can be said to look at how to incorporate and enforce these elements into the system.

　　The College of Policy Science is a new type of fusion course combining Oxford University's long tradition of PPE and jurisprudence, and it aims to help students understand knowledge, power, and the economy that drives modern society. In addition, the courses in other humanities, social sciences, and languages are cross-trained to broaden the understanding of human and world culture, enhance creativity, raise awareness for the global era, and improve rhetorical skills.

　　驱动现代社会发展的最重要的因素是知识、权力和经济。这三个因素在法律中互相关联。争端可以避免或得到解决，社会改革最终通过法律实现。哲学主要探索事物的现象和本质。政治学研究与权力的获取、维持和运用相关的政治现象。经济学的兴趣在于社会内部有限资源分配的现象和政策。而法律则可以说是为了将这些因素整合和纳入系统。

　　College Of Economics And Finance

　　CE&F understands the basic principles of economy, analyzes and predicts economic phenomena according to economic principles, applies them to government policies and corporate strategies, and has the ability to establish and evaluate economic policies. The purpose of CE&F is to train the students so that they become financial professionals who understand the mechanism and risk of the financial market to determine and to respond effectively. The CE&F students join businesses, government agencies, financial institutions, educational institutions and international organizations to apply economic principles to their work. CE&F develops talented individuals who can adapt to the changes in the global economy and also can actively lead the course by developing courses that can accommodate cultural and academic pluralism based on international knowledge and by understanding economic theories as well. In particular, the Faculty of CE&F have designated the industry, technology economy, public economy, policy, and international trade as areas for further deepening and also have designated the financial sector as a specialized field to enhance professionalism and to provide differentiated employment opportunities.

　　Hanyang University’s College of Education is concentrating its efforts on cultivating professional teachers to realize 'HYU Project 2010' and training educational experts in the digital era. The College of Education is using an advanced educational curriculum and teaching methods to change the 21st century classroom culture.

　　Currently, the College of Education has a total of 6 departments and diverse majors to train creative and active teachers and educators. It is also leading internationalization of teachers-in-training by running a variety of internationalization and overseas training programs to prepare them for the future. The college will continue to play a leading role as a qualified teacher training institute by connecting with schools such as Hanyang Elementary School, Hanyang University College of Education-affiliated middle and high schools of Hanyang Academy.

　　College of Music

　　Hanyang University College of Music started as Department of Music within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1960 by the leading role of Dr. Kim Lyun-jun, a composer and a founder of Hanyang University. In 1964, it was promoted to the College of Music and has played a pivotal role in producing outstanding professional musicians, composers, music theorists and music educators. Educational policies that emphasize practical education are reflected in the curriculum and boast the highest level in ensemble such as orchestra, chorus, opera performance and Korean traditional music.

　　Three school buildings including the main building, Paiknam Music Hall include concert halls, classrooms, a library, professor offices, audiovisual rooms, electronic music rooms, computer music rooms, recording rooms, and more. There are large and small chamber music practice rooms, private practice rooms, electronic music rooms, computer music rooms and recording rooms. The music library has about 23,000 music books and musical scores and 5,300 or so audiovisual materials. Each performance room and practice room has a grand piano such as Steinway and Bosendorfer, harpsichord, percussion instruments, and various special instruments.

　　音乐学院

　　音乐学院起初只是文理学院旗下的一个音乐系。20世纪60年代的时候由白南金连俊领带，白南金连俊是作曲家兼汉阳大学的创始者。1964年，音乐系升格为音乐学院，并在培养突出专业音乐人才、作曲家、音乐理论家和音乐教育家等方面扮演了重要角色。强调实践教育的政策也反映在我们的课程中，

　　并在乐队、合唱、歌剧表演和韩国传统音乐等团体表演中得到了最高层次的表现。

　　在音乐学院的三栋教学楼中，主楼是 Paiknam 音乐会堂。教学楼中有音乐大厅、教室、图书馆、老师办公室、视听室、电子音乐室、计算机音乐室、录音室等等。有大小不一的室内音乐训练室、私人训练室、电子音乐室、计算机音乐室和录音室。音乐学院图书馆有大约2万3千册音乐书籍和乐谱，约5千3百份音乐材料。每个表演室和训练室都有大钢琴，比如斯坦韦、贝森朵夫、羽管键琴、打击乐器以及各种特殊的乐器。
