International Students - General
Vice-Chancellor's International Attainment Scholarship
The Vice-Chancellor's International Attainment Scholarship (PGT) rewards high-achieving non-EU international students starting a postgraduate taught master's programme in 2018.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for this award you must:
• be liable to pay full tuition fees at the overseas rate
• be starting a new postgraduate master’s programme in academic year 2018 at the campus in Liverpool or London. Please note that students studying at our London campus cannot hold any other award on top of the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment – PGT scholarship.
• achieve a first class degree or equivalent qualification - as defined by the University of Liverpool and listed here.
• The award will not be available to students who have studied at Liverpool International College, XJTLU or completed their Undergraduate degree at Liverpool, as these students have their own scholarship provision.
• The award will not be available to students who are sponsored (by their government or commercial organisation), as these students are fully funded.
Students undertaking the MArch programme or an MPhil qualification are not eligible for a Vice- Chancellors International Attainment Scholarship- PGT Award.

You do not need to make an application to receive this scholarship. The Scholarship will be automatically allocated to all eligible students.
Postgraduate Progression Award- International students
If you're a current international University of Liverpool undergraduate or alumni progressing to either full or part-time postgraduate taught study you’re eligible to receive our Postgraduate Progression Award: a £2,500 reduction in tuition fees if you have a first class undergraduate degree, or a 10% reduction in fees if you have a 2:1. Eligibility criteria
The Postgraduate Progression Award is not eligible to the following groups of students:
Students registered with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
Students who have undertaken any previous study at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
Students transferring to the University of Liverpool from partnership institutions where an alternative fee payment or scholarship arrangement has been made.
1.1) Students who have completed previous undergraduate study at the University of Liverpool who enter a full-time or part-time postgraduate taught master’s programme in academic year 2018-19, and who fall within the scope of these Regulations (see Section 1), will be considered for the Postgraduate Progression Award subject to the following criteria:
i) They must be beginning a new postgraduate taught master’s programme (including MRes programmes) in academic year 2018-19.
ii) They must be: (a) an alumnus or alumna of the University of Liverpool having completed an undergraduate degree on the Liverpool campus, or (b) returning for further study having previously studied as an undergraduate exchange student on the Liverpool campus.
1.3) Full-time taught postgraduate students will receive the award for one year. For part-time students the award will be paid at a rate pro-rata to the ratio of their programme fee to the full-time programme fee. Part-time taught postgraduate students will receive the award at this pro-rata rate for the duration of their studies or until a sum equal to £2,500/10% of the full-time 2018-19 programme fee has been deducted from their cumulative programme fees, whichever occurs sooner.
1.4) Students will not be eligible for the Postgraduate Progression Award in any year when they are receiving external sponsorship (e.g. payment of programme fees by a registered company, an overseas government, or the UK government) of value equal to or greater than the value of the award. The value of the award will refer to the pro-rata award where the student is registered on a part-time basis.
1.5) Where students qualify for other University funding, such funding will be applied as a discount to the programme fee raised, followed thereafter by the application of the discount awarded by the Postgraduate Progression Award.
1.6) Students in receipt of the Postgraduate Progression Award cannot concurrently hold a Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship (PGT)

Sport Liverpool Scholarships

The University is able to offer students who achieve an average of 75% or above in their LIC Pre-Master’s programme a £2,500 fee reduction.

Liverpool Law School Hong Kong Scholarships
The University is able to offer competitive scholarships for offer holders from Hong Kong, SAR and PR China for both postgraduate taught master's and research programmes.

University of Liverpool - GREAT scholarships 2018 - China
This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, University of Liverpool will be offering four £5,500 scholarships to Chinese students applying for Postgraduate research (three scholarships across all subject areas) and Postgraduate Taught (one scholarship in Health & Life Sciences) programs.
In order to support more Chinese students to study in the UK, the British Council, together with 31 UK universities, has launched the GREAT Scholarships 2018 – China campaign. With 145 postgraduate scholarships on offer, the total value of the scholarship scheme is nearly £1 million. This new scholarship scheme will offer an exciting opportunity for Chinese students wishing to get financial support to pursue postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for postgraduate courses in subjects including engineering, law, business, art and design, biosciences, IT and more, at 31 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
In order to be eligible for these scholarships applicants must:
Be Chinese passport holders
Hold an unconditional offer to study for postgraduate research or conditional offer for a postgraduate taught program. The taught program has to be in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. The research programs can be in any subject areas.

Liverpool Law School LLM Bursaries
The Liverpool Law School is offering four bursaries for students joining its taught LLM programme. Awards will help students with their tuition fees. There are two bursaries worth £500 each available to two students classified as home/EU and two bursaries of £1,000 each available to two international students.
