英国留学套磁信的书写技巧。
1.别用新浪，中华，163什么的信箱，有可能会被当成垃圾邮件直接扫进垃圾箱里了。这个是最郁闷的，也是如果教授不回信最有可能发生的问题。如果有GMAIL是最保险的。
我帮教授看他邮箱的时候，闲的时候会打开垃圾箱看看。上面提到的几个，特别是新浪的，很容易被扫进去的。
2.标题写的吸引人一点。用HELLO，HELP这样的，根据我的观察，教授也通常连看都不看，直接就扫了。因为很多病毒信件都是这样的标题。
3.正文。千万不要写的太长。不要写的像AW那样的。越简明越清楚越好。不要写太长的句子，不用写的太有文采，文采可以放在你的RP里展示。分段要清楚，最好两段中间搁一行。(好多人写来的信，我都有要改作文的冲动)把最重要最想问的问题放在开头问，有必要的话结尾再问一遍。
4.不论他是副教授还是咋地，一律称呼他为DEAR PROF.是人他就爱听好听的啊!(当然小米就不用这么叫了，无论结没结过婚的，一律叫MS就可以了。)其实把自己写的牛与否，教授是不是太在乎的，只要展示自己最真实的一面就可以了。
5.如果怕自己E文表达不清楚，可以装一个微软2003或者紫光，有繁体输入的软件，写繁体信件是完全没有问题的。这边好多系统都不自动识别简体。
总体来说，使用“套磁”申请博士要比申请硕士有用，因为硕士是没有导师带的;申请理工科比文科有用，因为对于理工科的同学，你所拿到的奖学金其实就是教授的研究经费的一部分，因此与其说是学校给你发奖学金不如说是教授给你发。而对于文科，情况完全不同，研究经费一般由院系决定，教授可以起到的作用很有限。
如何通过套磁来增加自己的录取机率？
一、分清楚专业再套磁
想要进行高校的套磁，大家一定要分清楚专业，因为并不是所有专业都是需要套磁的。相对来说，如果是文科生的话，选择套磁并没有太大的意义，因为套磁更加适合理科生。对于理科生来说，获得的奖学金是属于教授研究经费当中的一部分，所以教授更加有资格决定，是否要给你颁发奖学金。
相对来说，文科生的奖学金一般都是由院校决定的，教授所起的作用非常有限。另外，申请需要知道的是，套磁并不是万能的，只是增加大家成功录取以及获得奖学金的几率，而且还需要靠申请者和导师之间的有效沟通才可以。
二、套磁的时间问题
对于申请者来说，申请材料都是寄给学校之后，然后才开始考虑套磁的问题。但是提醒大家，这个时候套磁的人会很多所以反而没有什么太大的效果。如果想要有不错效果的套磁，那么建议大家在半年之前就可以开始准备了，也就是入学前一年的6/7月份左右时间。但是这个时间，很多申请者还要忙于考试的准备。
