　　当你倒下垃圾时，你想过吗，在这短短几秒钟，将产生多少垃圾？据1979年统计，全国城市垃圾的清运量是2500多万吨，1996年城市垃圾的清运量是1、16亿吨，是1979年的4倍。

　　而现在已经是2012年了，我们的垃圾清运量该到达一个怎样惊人的天文数字！就拿我们村来说，村里的环卫工人告诉我，他们一天要打扫大半个社区，光是倒在垃圾桶里的垃圾，同事们就要拉好几车，一天下来，垃圾不下十车。有时候，垃圾散到别处去还要再捡起来。垃圾有异味，本身就很难消除，丢弃到不能监管的地方就更难控制了。

　　虽然这些垃圾在一些城市基础较好的地区，大部分会得到卫生填埋、焚烧、堆肥等无害化处理，但是更多地方的垃圾则常常被简易堆放或填埋，导致臭气肆虐，并且污染土壤和地下水体。据环卫工人爆料：垃圾无害化处理的费用是非常高的，根据处理方式的不同，处理一吨垃圾的费用约为一百至几百元不等。人们大量地消耗资源，大规模生产，大量地消费，又大量地生产着垃圾。

　　如今，地球的环境问题已经越来越严重了，大片大片的森林被砍伐，动物无家可归，土地的沙漠化，水资源的污染日益严重。可还是有些自以为是的人类在污染着我们赖以生存的家“地球”。
