planting flowers

spring is coming. birds are singing and flowers are blooming. i wanted to plant spring in my home, so i, together with my dad, went to the market and bought some flower seedlings.

we prepared to plant them in the yard. when we were back home, we went into action in no time. some time later, we finished. i will patiently wait for spring to come to the yard now.

种花

春天来了。鸟语花香。我想把春天种到家里。于是我和爸爸到集市上买了一些花苗，准备种到院子里。

我们俩手拿小铁锨，热火朝天地干着。不一会儿就种完了，现在我就可以耐心地等着家里春天的到来了。

An Accident

One sunny afternoon, when I was merrily riding home, I heard "Help! Help!". I rode to the riverside and found a boy of about five in the river struggling. I jumped into the water, swam to the boy and dragged him to the river bank. the boy said he was trying to catch a fish near the river bank and carelessly fell into the water. I asked him where his home was and sent him home. "Thank you very much!" the boy＇s parents said, when I left his home. Though I got home late that afternoon, I was very happy.

Overpopulation

the large number of our population has become one of the most serious problems of our society. According to a recent survey of the National Bureau of Statistics, there are more than 1.3 billion people in our country, which account for about 1/5 of all the people in the world. the same survey also predicts that our population will grow quickly in the years to come.

Overpopulation has brought about a series of negative effects to our economic development and social security. In the first place, too many people impose a heavy burden on our environment. As a result, we suffer from a shortage of fresh water and natural resources. In the second place, as the supply of labor GREatly exceeds the demand of the society, many people become employed. This is a source of social unrest. Last but not least, we have to manufacture all kinds of products to meet the needs of the people, which causes environment pollution to our lakes and land.

Serious though the problem seems, we have to take some measures to tackle it. On the one hand, the government should carry out more strictly the policy of family planning, thus reducing the total number of population. On the other hand, all the people should realize the harms of overpopulation. With the concerted efforts of all the parties concerned, we’re sure to solve the problem in the future.

　　期末到来，随之学习也是紧张起来了，初二阶段的学习到了一个关键时期，在期末到来之际，要对工作有一个客观的认识，过去的一段时间我是能够看到自身各个方面的不足的，我的英语成绩一直以来都不是很好，这也是我的短板，我认为这是我需要提高的地方，好好的复习英语非常的重要，现在我也是非常强烈的意识到了这一点，对于自身的学习是非常关键的，在学习当中我一直都是对自己比较认真，我也在一点点的保持好的心态，不管是在未来的什么时候这一点都是不变的，加紧提高英语成绩，这非常的重要。

　　在学习当中我能够客观的去看待自己各个方面的能力，首先对于自己的英语成绩我也是有着一个非常乐观的心态，每次回答问题都是非常的积极，我对自己各方面能力也是很看好的，但是现在我也已经是初二了，我的英语成绩并不是很好，这让我感觉到非常的不好，在学习当中我真的是做的非常不好，这个liuXue86.Com过程其实还是非常不好的，作为一名初中的学生这让我感觉非常的不好，在这一阶段的学习当中我认为不是什么事情都能够这么持续下去，每天抽出一定的时间来复习英语，早起的第一件事情就是背单词，我的单词量真的是不够多，初中两年到现在我也是没有重视起来，现在我是深刻的意识到了，一定要下定决心，搞好学习背单词。

　　每天早上半个小时的背单词，加深记忆，学习是非常关键的，不管是做什么事情态度始终都是非常重要的，学习是自己的事情，除了每天背单词之外，我也一定会做好相关的准备，把过去做过的一些题目经常拿出来看看，每一道题目都有它的意义，能够加深一点记忆就加深一点，搞好学习是非常重要的，我认为在英语作文这一块我的短处还是显而易见的，自己的掌握的单词量不是很多，再有就是在语法上面我确实还是做的不够好，没有深入的去了解，现在我也是深刻的意识到了这一点，学习是自己的事情，不管是在什么阶段都应该提起精神来，搞好自己的学习，我在语法方面还需要加紧学习，我也一定会花足够的时间去掌握这些，让自己能够更加快的了解，加深自己的记忆，学习方面我也一定会更加的用心，合理的安排好时间，准备迎接期末考试。

IT snowed heavily last week in northern China. Big snows fell on Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Ningxia and Xinjiang. For many cities, it was the biggest snowfall in 50 years. The snow made traveling hard. Many schools had to close for days.

Jia Aizhen, 14, lives in Taiyuan, Shanxi. She should have a mid-term (期中的) test on Wednesday. Because of the snow, they had the test on Sunday instead.

"It was good because we had more time to review (复习) our lessons," said Jia. She enjoyed the snow. It was as deep as 15cm and came to halfway up her leg. "I felt peaceful (平和的) and relaxed (放松的) to see the white snowy world."

Kang Xinyi, 13, and Wang Danyang, 13, are classmates at Shijiazhuang No 43 Middle School in Hebei. Their school stopped on Wednesday. Kang said the snow in the yard was as deep as 40cm.

"It was so good we didn’t have to go to school!" said Kang. Kang, Wang and another friend had a snowball fight (打雪仗) and made snowmen. They also helped clear snow off the roads.

"I never saw such a big snow," said Wang. "Last year we only made a small snow panda, but this year our snowman is as tall as 1 meter!"

"If the snow didn't make trouble for traffic (交通), we would hope it would never stop!" said the girls.

A few months ago, i was a primary pupil. i had many good friends and teachers that i remember all the time.

My new life is very exciting. i’m in dongzhou middle school. it’s famous in jiangsu. it’s bigger and more beautiful than the primary school. i love it very much.

I’m in class 10, grade 7. it’s a good class. the students are clever, nice, friendly and helpful. all my classmates study hard. they want to be on the top.

I get up at 5:30. sometimes i read english, sometimes i learn chinese. studying is very / interesting.

I’m sure our class will get better and better. i like my new class, the new school and the new life.
