“今年过年好早啊!”……很多人情不自禁地发出这样的感慨。今年春节确实来的有些早，1月28日就是春节了。那么，今年的春节为何来得比以往早一些?
天文教育专家、天津市天文学会理事赵之珩介绍，我国目前同时使用国际通用的公历(阳历)和中华民族传统的农历两种历法。其中春节每年固定在农历的正月初一，但它在阳历中的日期却不固定。
在阳历中，地球绕太阳公转一周为一回归年，平年365天，闰年有366天。而我国传统的农历是以月亮圆缺变化的周期为依据，12个月为353天～355天，比阳历年少了11天左右。
若是任由农历和阳历间的天数如此相差下去，那就必然会出现春节在夏天过的现象。因此，为使得春节在阳历的时间能保持相对稳定，每隔几年，农历中就会设置一个闰月。这样，如果上一个农历年没有闰月，那么下一年的春节就会比上年提前11天左右;如果上年农历有闰月，下一年的春节就会比上年推迟19天左右。

按照这样的方法来计算，春节阳历日期的变化也就非常清楚了。2016年(农历猴年)是个农历平年，全年共355天，比公历年少了11天，因而，2017年(农历鸡年)春节就要比去年提前11天。去年的春节落在了2月8日，今年自然就移到了1月28日。
