写作是高中英语教学的一项重要内容，是高考英语必考题型之一。但是，从近几年高考书面表达考查的抽样结果来看，学生的整体情况离预期的水平还有一定的差距，有些考生得分偏低，有些甚至只字未写，或者只言片语，25分的书面表达一分未得。因此，在高三总复习阶段对写作进行有针对性的训练是非常必要的。
　　　　写作的形式分为：提纲要点式或提纲表格式；图画式；图表式。纵观近十年的高考书面表达命题形式，看图命题是常采用的形式之一。图的类型也是多样化，有一幅或一组画面(含漫画)，有图示(路线图或建筑物位置图)，也有分析数据的统计图表、曲线作标图表，同时给出一定的文字说明。所给题材主要涉及到同学们的日常生活，不仅大家熟悉，而且大多数也是同学们经历的。这类看图作文命题的目的是考查同学们根据对图画内容的细心观察，充分发挥自己的想象力和理解力，有调理，有重点，生动准确地把图画内容加工成书面语言。
　　　　那么，如何根据图画的内容，运用正确的语言和规定的篇幅来写好这类文章呢？　　　　1. 认真审图，列出要点　　　　看图作文的关键，在于看懂图画内容，理解画面意思，因此考生须仔细观察每幅图画所描绘的情景，深刻理解作者通过图画所传达的信息，列出写作的要点。历年NMET书面表达大都具备6个左右的描述要点。然后再根据以上所列要点扩点成句，扩句时考生要注意图画所给的时间背景，正确使用人称、时态和语态。最后组句成文。
　　　　2. 层次分明，行文流畅　　　　组句成文时考生要注意适当地使用一些过渡词(如and，then，but，however，besides，thus，soon，first，second，finally等)以便使图与图之间内容过渡自然，脉络清晰，层次分明。组句成文时还要求行文的文理通顺，意思连贯与流畅。因此，我们在做书面表达题时，可以把作状语用的副词(尤其是时间副词)、副词短语或副词从句提至句首，使得上句的尾部与下句的首部相互呼应，以收到连贯的效果。
　　　　3. 使用简单句和有把握句式　　　　考生在进行书面表达时应多使用简单句，少量地使用并列句和复合句。如NMET1997的书面表达参考答案中，整篇文章只用了一个由as引导的复合句。其它皆为简单句。而在NMET1998的书面表达参考答案中，整篇文章用了一个由how引导的感叹句和一个由before引导的复合句。其它皆为简单句。而在NMET1999的书面表达参考答案中，整篇文章仅用了一个由where引导的复合句，其它皆为简单句。因此，考生在做NMET看图作文时可采用以下五种基本句型：　　　　A：主语+系动词+表语　　　　The work seemed difficult to us.　　　　B：主语＋谓语(vi.)＋其它　　　　Great c...
