　　1. read the(/a) book. 这是我们通常意义上的“看书”的英语翻译。汉语中的看书，实际上是“阅读书籍”的意思。是读书识字的人的一种行为。而初学者在翻译时，常套用：

　　看黑板look at the blackboard而译成“look at the book”。

　　2. 我儿子四个月时就会自己看书、看报了。他甚至经常是倒拿着书和报纸看的。请看这本书!这就是他四个月时曾经“看”过的书!
