　　With the development of industry, people are faced with the problem of a worseningenvironment. Fish are disappearing in many rivers and lots of green land is changing intodesert.

　　随着工业的发展，人们面临着环境恶化的问题。许多河流中不再有鱼的踪迹，众多绿地变成了沙漠。

　　What are the causes of this? Firstly, too much development of natural resources has greatlydamaged the balance of nature. Many people only focus on the economic profits, withoutconsidering any means of environmental protection. Secondly, the government hasn't takenany effective measures for the further development of the economy. Some departments onlypay attention to their own benefit .

　　这究竟是什么原因造成的?首先，对于自然资源的过度开发极大地毁坏了自然界的平衡。许多人只顾经济利益，而丝毫不考虑环境保护。其次，政府对于经济的进一步发展缺乏有力的措施，一些部门只关注自身的利益。

　　I think economic development and environmental protection are equally important. Whileindustry keeps developing, more money should be spent on improving the environment.

　　我认为经济发展和环境保护同等重要。在工业保持发展的同时，应该注入更多的资金来改善环境。
