STEM Summer Lecture Series
The Office of College Admission is pleased to announce a series of summer STEM lectures meant to supplement a campus visit to Brown. This summer, we are highlighting the Applied Math and Computer Science Departments at Brown.
Physical Science tours are designed to give prospective students a glimpse of what it is like to study Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Math, Applied Math and Geology at Brown.

SAT Policy for Fall 2017
The current version of the SAT will be discontinued in March, 2016, and replaced by the new SAT with an optional writing section. Students applying to Brown's Class of 2021 and beyond are NOT required to take the optional writing section on the new SAT. Brown will still require applicants submitting the SAT to also provide results from two Subject Tests of the applicant’s choice. Brown currently accepts the ACT with Writing in lieu of the SAT and Subject Tests. First-year applicants to the Class of 2021 and beyond are strongly encouraged, but NOT required, to include the ACT Writing Section.
2017年秋季入学SAT政策
布朗大学现在的SAT政策将于2016年3月终止，代之以新的SAT政策，新的政策将有选修的写作课程。申请2021年及以后课程学习的学生不需要根据新的SAT政策选择选修写作课程，但是学校依然要求申请者根据自己的选择提交两门课程的测试结果。目前布朗大学接受有写作成绩的ACT代替SAT和科目测试成绩。我们鼓励但不要求申请2012年及以后入学的同学提交ACT写作成绩。
Brown admits 2,580 to Class of 2019
Brown University has made 2,580 offers of admission for the Class of 2019. The offers made to 1,970 students in Brown's regular decision pool, combined with the more than 600 students offered admission in Brown's early decision program, represents 8.5 percent of the this year's 30,397 applicants.
President Paxson’s new Brown Connect initiative is off and running—to rave reviews! BrownConnect aims to provide Brown first-year students, sophomores, and juniors increased support for summer internships, research, and funding.
