APPLICATION PERIOD
The application period opens in December 1, 2015 at 8:00/8 a.m. (GMT +2) and closes on January 27, 2016 at 15:00/3 p.m. (GMT +2). The University of Helsinki has one intake of students per year for the Master's (graduate) level.
ELIGIBILITY
A graduate applicant is a person who already has graduated with the first degree, usually a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, from a higher education institution. A Bachelor’s degree is the lower academic degree and it takes three to four years of full-time studies to complete. Your Bachelor's degree should be in the same field of study you apply for – or closely related to it. The International Master's Programmes may accept applicants with a more varying background. Some programmes may accept students with a Bachelor's degree from a university of applied sciences.
Also those students who are in their last term or semester of their Bachelor's studies can apply. If you gain admission, you should submit the final degree certificate and transcript to the appropriate faculty by July 29, 2016 (15.00/3 p.m. GMT +3) or by July 15 (Faculty of Arts).

The International Master's Programmes are all offered fully in English.
The University does not arrange preparation courses or a preparatory year prior to the beginning of actual degree studies.
