Eligibility
Eligible programs include: CSU Global Short Term Programs; Conferences; Workplace learning; Internships. Please note: if you are participating in a CSU Global Short Term Program this grant has been deducted from the program fee.
To be eligible to apply you must:
· be studying a CSU Undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree
· be receiving academic recognition for your participation in an eligible CSU Global program
· successfully complete the full requirements of your overseas program and associated CSU study
· not be in receipt of other scholarships/subsidies/grants administered CSU Global
If you are an International student:
· you must not be returning to your country of residence
· you must abide by the conditions of your visa

How to Apply
Payment of the Travel Grant will only be made if you submit the following information to CSU Global at least four weeks prior to your departure:
1. Written confirmation from your Course Coordinator that you will be receiving credit for your participation in this program
2. An official itinerary/eticket - showing payment of airfares and information on your return flights, including dates (from the date you depart Australia to the date you return).
3. Certificate of insurance (including Product Disclosure Statement PDS) - showing payment of insurance and information on your coverage, including dates (from the date you depart Australia to the date you return). At a minimum your insurance coverage must include:
- Medical Expenses $500,00
- Repatriation Expenses $15,000
- Personal Liability $1,000,000
- 24hr Emergency Assistance
4. A copy of your current passport
5. Certificate of online predeparture module completion (including registration through Smart Traveller and Travel Tracker websites) - CSU Global will provide you with the link to the predeparture modules upon request.
6. A completed Registration of International Travel

CSU Professional Placement Equity Grant
Provides financial assistance for Workplace Learning (professional placement). The grant is approximately $50 to $100 per week of placement. Grants are not intended to provide an alternative to other forms of income and recipients are not to rely on payment occurring prior to attending their placement.

Am I Eligible?
To be eligible for this grant in 2017 a student must be:
1. an Australian citizen, a New Zealand Citizen or a permanent Australian Resident (including the holder of an Australian Humanitarian Visa);
2. Studying an undergraduate degree (this includes honours) as an active student;
3. enrolled in a CSU course as a Commonwealth supported student;
4. enrolled as a full time or part time student;
5. a commencing or continuing student, continuing students must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher;
6. enrolled as an internal or online student;
7. enrolled in a subject for which Professional Placement attendance is compulsory and the placement is greater than five consecutive days. Note: this Grant is not intended to assist students attending residential schools.
8. of low socio-economic status
o in receipt of an eligible means tested Centrelink Benefit (refer Appendix A of the guidelines) or
o must be able to demonstrate financial hardship
Full fee paying students are not eligible.

Charles Sturt University (CSU) is registered to receive various scholarship and fellowship students on behalf of the Australian Government.

Australia Awards John Allwright Fellowships
The ACIAR Fellowships Scheme provides opportunities for partner country scientists involved in ACIAR-supported collaborative research projects to obtain postgraduate qualifications at Australian tertiary institutions.
Applications are welcome from participants in both bilateral and multilateral (IARC) project and they must be working with an ACIAR project in a current partner developing country.
Candidates must submit their applications by 15 May 2017.
