HOW TO APPLY
Standard Application
All full-time students are welcome to apply for residence. In most buildings, however, the vast majority of residents are first year students.
Welcome exchange students
There are openings in the Brooks apartment-style residence. As an exchange student, you can book a room for a period of 4 months or 8 months. Apply in the Housing Portal (via uoZone) and select Brooks. Should you have any difficulty accessing the Housing Portal, please send your request to Residence@uOttawa.ca
Regular students
Are you in 2nd year or higher? You can apply for a room in one of the zones set aside for upper year students:.
45 Mann – Hurry up!
2 clusters in the Brooks Residence (75 Louis Pasteur and 620 King Edward)
2 floors in the Friel Residence
2 floors in the Rideau Residence
Up to mid-August, apply via the Housing Portal (in uoZone). Pending availability, offers will be issued starting mid-April. First come, first served.
As of mid-August, look for a takeover or sublet opportunity on the Student Housing Billboard, contact the resident and apply in the Housing Portal (via uoZone), specifying who you are replacing, and where that person lives in residence.

一般学生

住房入口(渥太华大学空间)的申请截止到8月中旬。安排结果将从4月中旬陆续公布出来，先到先得。
至于8月中旬，你可以在学生住房公布栏查看已占和转让机会，联系具体的小区并且在住房入口申请，明细你要代替谁，入住哪个宿舍。
Payment schedule
Stanton, Thompson, Marchand, LeBlanc, 90U, Friel, Henderson and Rideau
You pay in 2 installments: Fall session and Winter session. A $700 deposit is required at the time of reservation.
Brooks, Hyman Soloway and 45 Mann
You pay in 3 installments: Fall session, Winter session, Spring session. A deposit is required at the time of reservation.

Late payment/ returned cheque/ outstanding debt
If you pay your residence fees after the deadline, late payment charges of $25 apply for each occurrence. Daily interest is applied to all outstanding balances.
If for any reason, your financial institution returns your cheque, you must pay this amount as well as applicable fees and daily interest. Personal cheque will not be accepted to pay this debt.
In accordance with University policy, your transcript and/or diploma will be withheld until you have paid all outstanding residence fees.
Your agreement will not be renewed if, during your stay in residence, there have been two irregularities in your payments. “Irregularities” is defined as returned cheque, late payments and/or outstanding debt.

Payment methods
Reservation deposit
The Housing Portal is where you pay your deposit by credit card. Other payment methods are available, but take more time to be processed. Personal cheques are not accepted.
Residence fees
You can pay your residence fees the same way you choose to pay your tuition fees. We recommend that you pay on line or by phone through your financial institution. View methods of payment for university fees.
Residence fees cannot be paid in cash and credit card are not accepted. Please consult financial resources for questions about your account.

押金的支付
你可以住房入口通过信用卡支付押金。其他付款方法也是可以的,但需要更多时间处理。不接受个人支票。
房租的支付
你可以根据交押金时的同样的方式支付你的住宿费。我们建议你在网上或通过电话要求金融机构支付。
