　　Loan fees will be added to the Cost of Education if the student borrows from any one of the programs listed below. The maximum amount will equal the amount of the loan times the fee percentage charges. Loan origination fees are subject to change based on funding uncertainties at the Federal level.

　　Direct Graduate Plus Loan: 4.276%

　　Students who pay full tuition for four consecutive years will also pay a $725 registration fee for your chronological fifth year.

　　Students who split tuition across the fourth and fifth chronological years will pay a $363 registration fee for each of these years.

　　Federal regulations require that we use a single student budget for all students. A federally-established Standard Maintenance Allowance will be added for married students and/or students with dependents.

　　Adjustments will be made to the standard single student budget for insurance and origination fees for Federal Direct Unsubsidized and Graduate PLUS loans.

　　The personal expense allowance, intended for laundry, clothing, entertainment, etc., assumes a modest level of spending during the year.

　　Included in your tuition fee is the cost of the Yale Health Plan (YHP) and some miscellaneous expenses for you only. There is an additional cost to cover your spouse and dependents. Members of the YHP use the University Health Service Center for outpatient health care. If you have any additional health-related costs, we will make adjustments to the standard student budget if proper documentation is provided.

　　In addition to membership in the Yale Health Plan (YHP), the University requires all students to have adequate hospitalization coverage. Such coverage (administered by Connecticut Blue Cross) is available from the YHP for a separate fee. Alternatively, students who are covered by hospitalization under another policy may waive the YHP hospitalization fee upon presentation of evidence that they are covered for hospital benefits under a valid and sufficient hospital insurance contract individually, or through a parent or guardian.

　　Tuition and Fees

　　Full-tuition scholarships are available to ISM students. The amount is based on tuition established by the two affiliated schools. In 2016-2017, tuition for full-time students enrolled at the School of Music and the Institute will be $31,000. Tuition for full-time students enrolled at the Divinity School and the Institute will be $23,920. Other special fees may be assessed, depending on program (orientation, commencement, board, and activity fees, etc.). Total estimated expenses for a single student are $47,124 for Music and $45,003 for Divinity. Estimated totals for different categories of students may include housing, meals, books, health care, major medical insurance, child care, and other miscellaneous costs. Further information is available from the Financial Aid Office.

　　Students already enrolled in the School of Music or Divinity School who wish to become affiliated with the ISM in their second or third year will be considered for Institute tuition scholarships and financial aid on a case-by-case basis.

　　Tuition and Fees

　　Full-time tuition for master’s is $18,966 per term in the fall 2016 and spring 2017 terms. Students in the first year of the Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing also have a summer tuition fee of $15,080. Tuition for the part-time DNP program is $12,608 per term in the fall 2016 and spring 2017 terms. Tuition for part-time study is determined per term according to the total number of years it takes to complete the degree requirements. The Post-Master’s Certificate program and Nonmatriculated part-time study is available at $1,400 per credit. More information is available from the Student Affairs Office.

　　Acceptance Fee

　　A nonrefundable fee of $600 is required within three weeks of the receipt of an offer of admission in order to secure a place in the entering class. For matriculating students, $300 will be credited to the fall term tuition.

　　Required Fees

　　The University requires hospitalization insurance for all students. The estimated charge for single student coverage with the Yale Health Plan for the 2016-2017 year is $2,264. This fee may be waived with proof of alternative coverage for each year of enrollment. Students are also responsible for the cost of equipment, uniforms, books, photocopying, transportation to and from clinical sites, and on-site parking, if needed. Physical assessment courses have a lab fee of up to $400, and some clinical courses may also have a lab fee. Every student also pays a technology fee of $450.

　　Other Fees

　　Service fees are charged for late registration, course schedule changes after the add/drop period, Internet connectivity from a student residence, late return of library materials, and the like.
