  1.Khalifa University

  Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research is an independent, non-profit, coeducational institution inaugurated in 2007 as part of an Abu Dhabi government initiative. The university is dedicated to the advancement of learning through teaching and research and the discovery and application of knowledge. It endeavors to be an internationally recognized research university, with a world class reputation for interdisciplinary teaching and research and a tradition of partnering with leading international academic institutions.   Khalifa University currently offers eight undergraduate engineering-based programs and seven graduate degree programs. As a research-based institution, Khalifa University is home to a number of research centers and institutes.   2.United Arab Emirates University (UAEU)

  The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is the first and the largest academic institution in the United Arab Emirates. UAEU was founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1976. Today, the university continues to fulfill his progressive vision, contributing to the development of the United Arab Emirates as a model for the Arab world and a successful example of a peaceful, safe, and a fast growing cosmopolitan society.

  Culturally diverse and politically stable, the UAE provides a safe, attractive, culturally vibrant environment and advantageous conditions to live, work and do business in. The metropolis of Dubai and Abu Dhabi are both renowned for their iconic touristic attractions, immersive cultural districts, and world-class shopping malls and are approximately a one-hour drive away from UAEU campus. UAEU is located in Al Ain also known as the city of the Oasis which features their iconic green hilly-park and their highest mountain, Green Mubazzara and Jebel Hafeet. Here you can enjoy a light hike, a picnic and go for a dip in the parks natural hot springs.

  UAEU is also known as a comprehensive, research-intensive university committed to innovation and excellence in teaching and research. The university currently enrolls approximately 14,000 students from 64 countries. As the UAE’s flagship university, UAEU offers a full range of internationally accredited, high-quality graduate and undergraduate programs through nine Colleges: Business and Economics, Science, Education, Engineering, Food and Agriculture, Humanities and Social Science, IT, Law, Medicine and Health Sciences.   3.American University of Sharjah (AUS)

  American University of Sharjah (AUS) was founded in 1997 by Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, ruler of Sharjah. The university was envisaged as becoming a leading educational institution in the Gulf region and was consciously based on American models of higher education, while at the same time being grounded in Arab culture as part of a wider process of revitalisation of intellectual life in the Middle East.

  AUS is an independent, not-for-profit, coeducational, comprehensive institution. It offers 26 majors and 46 minors at undergraduate level, as well as 13 master's degrees. English is used as the language for teaching at AUS. The university has around 6,000 students, with the main home countries of students including the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, India and Syria.

  AUS courses are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation of the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Affairs Division in the UAE and by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in the US. The institution is a member of the Association of American International Colleges and Universities, a leadership organisation of American institutions delivering higher education outside the US.

  AUS pledges that it delivers a standard of instruction the same as that delivered in leading universities in the US, that it places the same emphasis on individual initiative and active learning as in the US, that campus life is “rich with clubs, sports and cultural events”, and that the curriculum is organised on the American structure of courses and pattern of semesters.

  4.University of Sharjah (UOS)

  The University of Sharjah (UOS), established in 1997, is a private, national, co-educational university situated in University City, Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates. UOS has expanded in a relatively short span of time to include 14 colleges, offering 86 diverse academic programmes.

  The university has long-term cooperation agreements and strategic alliances with 31 leading academic institutions around the globe. A few kilmotres from the shores of the Arabian Gulf, the main university campus houses the Medical and Health sciences campus, the Fine Arts and Design campus and the Community College.

  UOS architecture lends full expression to its Islamic and Arabic heritage, while providing facilities including study halls, laboratories, libraries, state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and computing labs, theatres, two major sports complexes, and student centres with restaurants and shops. The Sharjah Centre for Astronomy and Space Sciences includes the Planetarium, the Exhibition of the Universe in the Holy Qur’an, an Astronomical Observatory and a Cosmic Park.

  There are also separate residential areas for male and female students and the faculty, and students are offered a choice between one, two, and three-bedroom dorm rooms.

  Apart from the university’s main campus in the city of Sharjah, there are two others on the coastline of the Arabian Sea, in the city of Khorfakkan and the town of Kalba, as well as two satellite location for the Community College in Meleiha and Dibba. The woman’s campus, opened in 2012, has more than 10km2.

  UOS courses are linked through agreements with universities in Australia, Canada, Japan, the UK, and the USA, and the university accepts many visiting international students.
