　　一、最好不要有表达上的问题，自己要用自己拿手的有把握单词和句式，千万不要因为想多样性，而去多样性。

　　二、一定要按照学校的要求来写PS，比如字数要求等。所以在网申提交PS时一定要看清学校的要求，不要偷懒。PS的字数要尽可能的接近或稍微超过学校的字数要求。不要写的太少或超的太多。

　　三、PS切忌套用模板，好的PS是千锤百炼的结果，是思想的结晶。初稿时可以借鉴别人好的经验，这是必须也是必要的，但是成型后的PS一点要有自己的特点。

　　四、要注意留学PS与其他材料的配合，比如推荐信，CV等，PS也要有所突出和重点，不能样样俱全。

First of all, they've heard all that before. Second, they can see through your attempts to please. The most successful essays are those in which the author is honest and genuine. The best advice we can give you is simply to be yourself. That also means paying some attention to voice, or the personality behind your writing. You should not be afraid of using "I" in your personal statement. This essay should not be a dry, academic essay, but neither should it be one stand-up comic routine; instead, you should strive for a balance between the two. Admissions committees also complain that many students try excessively hard to create an entertaining voice or write what they deem sophisticated prose. Often, these attempts backfire, making the essay sound contrived and flowery. You can avoid these pitfalls simply by being yourself.
