　　Welcome to this year’s English speech competition.

　　This year’s topic is “The English Novel I Like Best”. It is a really interesting topic. Taking part in this competition not only is a great opportunity for you to improve both your spoken English and listening ability, but also does good to helping you develop a great reading habit. In this contest, the time of every participant’s speech will be limited within 5 minutes. Every participant is expected to speak fluently, and your pronunciation should be as precise as possible.
