　　雅思考试是什么?

　　雅思(International English LanguageTesting System，简称IELTS，中文名为国际英语语言测试系统)是由英国文化协会(The British Council，即英国驻华大使馆/总领事馆文化教育处)、剑桥大学考试委员会(CESOL)和澳大利亚教育国际开发署(IDP Australia)共同举办的国际英语水平测试。此项考试是为申请赴英语国家(美国、英国、澳大利亚、加拿大、新西兰等)留学、移民的非英语国家学生而设，用来评定考生运用英语的能力。

　　报考费用是多少?

　　英国参加每次雅思考试所需费用大约为130英镑;在中国大陆，从2015年1月1日起，雅思考试费提升至1750元人民币;在香港，从2013年4月1日起，考试费提升至1700元港币;在台湾则为5100元新台币。具体价格依全球不同地区而异。申请转考、退考，需支付的费用均为420元。

　　自2016年1月1日起举行的雅思考试，其报名费调整为人民币1850元，现行转考、退考手续费，以及次日期之前的考试相关费用维持不变。此外，用于英国签证及移民的雅思考试(IELTS for UKVI)、雅思生活技能类考试(IELTS Life Skills)的相关费用也维持不变。

　　每双休日都有考试，当然城市不同不一定，一般是一个月2~4次，周四偶尔有加场。从2006年5月1日起,雅思考试已取消90天重考的时间限制,考生可随时参加考试和重考。也就是说，考生可以连续不断参加考试，两次雅思考试之间可以无间隔。但是从实际操作的角度上来看，绝大部分雅思考生一次只报考一场考试，而若是等雅思考试结束或是成绩出来以后再进行下场报名，那时往往最近1-2个月内的考试已经截止报名或报满。

　　报考需要什么证件?

　　中国大陆、香港、澳门考生凭有效身份证或护照报名，台湾省考生凭有效台湾居民来往大陆通行证(台胞证)报名，中国籍现役军人凭有效的军人证件报名。非中国籍考生凭借有效护照报名。

　　中国大陆地区所有考生均须在网上完成IELTS报名，报名过程中有任何疑问或需要技术支持，可致电全国服务热线寻求帮助。IELTS报名为全年开放式，考试安排公布后即可报名。正常情况下，雅思考试报名的截止时间是考试前12个工作日(不包含周六、周日)，非正常情况下(是指遇到国内的法定节假日)，雅思考试的报名截止时间都会有相应的调整。但是由于每个考场考试名额是有限的，很多情况下，没有到考试报名的截止时间，考试的名额已经报满，所以建议大家如确定考试时间尽早报名，一般需要提前1-2个月左右为宜。
