怎样正确看待大学排名资讯

中国家长的习惯，往往片面追求各类高校排行榜，甚至于不顾孩子喜好，替孩子规划美好前程，这种安排是否科学合理?选校时，在大学排名，专业排名与个人兴趣之间，该如何理性判断，做出怎样的取舍和抉择?带着这些问题，搜狐走访了伯乐的资深专家，对这些问题进行了逐一解读。
排名榜首选权威性
资深专家认为，有一些排行榜的权威性是毋庸置疑的。在如今排行榜满天飞的日子里，参考排行榜当然要看那些权威机构制作的可信度较高的榜。各国的高等教育学府的排行榜一般由一些社会团体进行排名，尤其以媒体最为突出。比如《美国新闻与世界报道》和《金融时报》公布的排名，都被认为具有相当的客观性和权威性，在国内和国际上有很高的声誉。这是由于他们进行排名工作已经有很长的历史，工作的完善和调查的科学缜密程度保证了排行榜的准确程度，而不是凭少数人的偏好和印象。
各种排行榜比较的方面不同，有的是综合排行榜，有的是专业排行榜，所采集的资料不同，各种参数的比重也不同。《美国新闻与世界报道》的排名更注重学生质量和毕业生就业状况，《金融时报》发布的这个排名，非常重视学员对院校和专业课程的满意度。但是万变不离其宗，排行榜考虑的因素主要集中在以下几方面:学校资源设备，师资资历，师生比例，学术研究成果，教师的学术成就，学生录取情况，就业情况，财政资源等。
根据学历层次和专业方向，具体分析和比较
专家认为，在国外，本科学历是基础性、普及型的学历层次，学校间的差距本身就小，特别是英国，加拿大和北欧的知名院校;因此，中国学生申请国外本科，就不应该把精力集中在学校的排名上，而是着重在成功的入学申请上。专家建议，学生在挑选学校的时候可以在排行榜的各个阶段的学校中，各选几所发送申请，既有最理想的院校，又有最稳妥的院校和保底型院校，最终的录取成功率才高，而不要盯着某一档次的学校不放，走这样的独木桥失败的风险很大。
