2021考研英语完型四步分析法

一、第一步，寻标志断长句，前两个逗号可以断开，后面的逗号是并列结构的标志
More than three million doses were to be made available in early October 2009, //though most of those initial doses were of the FluMist nasal spray type, //which is not recommended for pregnant women, people over 50 or those with breathing difficulties, heart disease or several other problems.
二、第二步，抓主干识修饰
主干：More than three million doses were to be made available in early October 2009
修饰：though ......nasal spray type是让步状语从句;which is not recommended ......other problems是定语从句，修饰type。
三、第三步，调语序定句意
主句：more than three million doses是主语，were to be made available是谓语，in early October 2009是时间状语，翻译时候需要前置。到2009年10月初，超过300万试剂能投入使用。
让步状语从句：无需调整语序的结构，直接顺译。尽管大多数初期试剂是喷鼻型。
定语从句：定语从句主干是which is not recommended for sb.这里的sb.是用or连接的三种人pregnant women, people over 50 or those。 后面的with breathing difficulties, heart disease or several other problems.是定语来修饰those那些人，这个定语中又用了or连接三种疾病。这个定语译为：有着呼吸困难、心脏病或其他几种疾病的。在which定语从句中，with短语做定语需要前置翻译放在those前面，定语从句译为：这不被推荐给孕妇、50岁以上的人或有呼吸困难、心脏病及其他疾病的人。
四、第四步，依逻辑组整句
整个句子结构为，主句，让步状语从句(其中嵌套了定语从句)，所以让步状语从句(嵌套了定语从句)应该前置翻译，最后翻译主句。翻译为：尽管大多数初期试剂是喷鼻型，这种类型不被推荐给孕妇、50岁以上的人或有呼吸困难、心脏病及其他疾病的人，到2009年10月初，有超过300万试剂能投入使用。
通过调整及美化，句子翻译为：尽管大多数初期试剂是喷鼻型，这种类型不适用于孕妇、50岁以上的人或有呼吸困难、心脏病及其他疾病的人，但是到2009年10月初，有超过300万试剂能投入使用。
