时态题解题技巧
1. 聚焦时间状语和时间副词。
一般来说，每一种时态都有其特定的时间状语和时间副词，在辨别各种时态的时候，我们一定要用我们的火眼金睛去发现它，从而快速地判定用何种时态。
1) While the boy down the street，the UFO landed. (2009年，湖北襄樊)
A. had walked B. was walking C. has walked D. is walking
【解析】
本句中while引导的时间状语从句，主句用一般过去时，故while从句选用过去进行时，答案为B。
2) There (not be)much rain in my hometown since the beginning of this month.
【解析】
本句中有since引导的时间状语，故时态应该用现在完成时，故答案为hasn’t been。
2. 上、下文和前后呼应帮你剖析各种时态。
判别时态最关键的一点就是语境，有时作者为了表明自己的观点，在不同的语境下选择不同的时态，这就要考虑上下文和时态的呼应，一定注意时态的前后一致性，否则就会贻笑大方了。
3) —How clean the bedroom is!
—Yes, I am sure that someone it. (2009年，湖北武汉)
A. cleans B. cleaned C. has cleaned D. had cleaned
【解析】
根据上文的卧室多么干净，可知有人已经打扫了它，现在完成时表示影响和结果，故答案为C。
4) —Did you give Tom a phone call? (2009年，河南)
—Yes, I did. But nobody .
A. answer B. answered C. will answer D. had answered
【解析】根据上句的“你给汤姆打电话了吗”，答句“是的，但是没有人应答”。应该知道事情发生在过去，用一般过去时，故答案为B。
5) It outside. You’d better take an umbrella with you. (2009年，江西)
A. rains B. is raining C. rained D. has rained
【解析】
根据语境“外面正在下雨，你最好带一把雨伞”，应该选用现在进行时，答案为B。
3. 注意习惯，合理运用时态。
有的句子时态就要考虑一些习惯性的东西，如客观真理一般要用一般现在时，在条件状语从句中，主句用一般将来时，从句用一般现在时表将来等。在学习的过程中要牢牢记住，多分析比较一下，时态就会越来越明确。
6) Our teacher told us the sun in the east. (2009年，广东)
A. rise B. rose C. rising D. rises
【解析】
这道题同学可能会出错，他们觉得宾语从句的时态应该与主句时态一致，故选用一般过去式，但他们忽略了“太阳在东方升起”是一客观真理，故用一般现在时，答案为D。
7) All the students in Class 5 will climb the mountain if it rain tomorrow. (2009年，四川绵阳)
A. won’t B. don’t C. didn’t D. doesn’t
【解析】
if引导的条件状语从句用一般现在时表示将来，故答案为D。
