在托福考试中，要不要先阅读文章，一直存有异议，有人说先读一遍文章浪费时间，还是直接做题来的实际，也有人说先看文章能获得文章的大体信息，便于把握文章的逻辑架构，这两种做法到底哪个更有用得看你所能获得的信息量，略读完文章所获得的信息量多，好用，信息量几乎为零，当然没用，但效果好不好，谁用谁知道，我认为第二种方法有效，所以我偏向先略读一下文章再做题的方法，但在略读文章的时候要记得主动阅读，不能被动的接收信息，要不然就成了第一种说法里的毫无效果以及浪费时间了。具体方法如何操作，我们以TPO6的第一篇Powering the Industrial Revolution 为例。

In Britain one of the most dramatic changes of the Industrial Revolution was the harnessing of power. Until the reign of George Ⅲ(1760-1820), available sources of power for work and travel had not increased since the Middle Ages. There were three sources of power: animal or human muscles; the wind, operating on sail or windmill; and running water.
