　　What you can discover about the roots of your family is not likely to make headlines, but may be crucial in building a family tree that can be both interesting and surprising. Trying to search a family history is a positive attitude toward something that you learn from and grow from it. Good or bad, one thing is sure: you cannot erase the past.

　　Some people are actually not interested to know their family roots. The thought of finding out how they end up where they are at the moment simply does not intrigue them enough. They think it is useless to get whatever information leading to who were they related to--great, great grand-parents, and great, great grand uncles and aunties. Hence, it seems that embarking on a project to create a family tree is not unlike digging the graves of the once-upon-a-time family members. 写引言段学鹦鹉叫是作文大忌

回答独立写作试题的工作，应该是引言段最难写。引言段中又是开头第一句最难写，也最重要。谢振礼老师曾发表一篇 [The 'Killer' Opening Sentence]，主要是建议写作新手多加练习打造全文首句的能力，因而旗开得胜，【起承转合】无往不利。成功地造第一句，也必能成功地组第一段。第一段的成功，简直是为成功的一篇论说文作保。



一般失败的第一段都是因为学鹦鹉，应声试题。鹦鹉大概不知道写作的目的是搞说服力，对象是读者或阅卷考官。仅仅换几个字，改一点句式，然后把试题重现在第一段，这种工作有做也等于没有做，而却惹读者失望与烦厌。引言段如果不能立刻表明回答试题的立场作为主题，那也就无法集中焦点，又无法分割焦点为要点，进而凭分割的要点发展中体两段的内容以支持主题。再说，读者不会笨到需要考生解释题目的背景资料。鹦鹉虽然多嘴好笑，可是毫无创意。



引言段的任务只有三句话。1. 表明立场作为主题。2. 缩小主题成焦点。3. 分割焦点为两个要点，分头用来做中体两段的招牌句【中心句】。所以，在组第一段时无需举出任何例证来支持主题。举理由证明是中体两段的任务。到了第四段还是一样不准举出新的例证。结尾段只不过是【后应】引言段的【前呼】。结尾的三句话是1. 二要点合为一焦点。2. 焦点还原为原来的主题。3。重申主题，坚定立场。看得出来，结尾的三句话与开头的三句话，意义相近而次序颠倒。



居然有考生在组第一段时学鹦鹉叫而照样是高分写作。原因可能是英文好而不是作文好。考官评分写作通常着重于语文的运用，作文的技巧还是在其次。谢振礼老师的结论：如果写英文能够达到母语的程度，那么作文技巧可有可无。假设烤鸭现有的英文程度不够水平，那么就要取巧作文，尤其是在第一段引言，先留个第一好印象，顺便向鹦鹉说再见。

【鹦鹉写作】：有讲话又像是白说。立场不明，不见主题。呆板式英文，对付任何利弊题型都是套用模板。作者问题不大，谢振礼老师评分也不高，因为鹦鹉应声第一段之后，读者还不明白呆鸟想花钱还是省钱。

Walking, the Best Exercise

>People do many different things to stay healthy. What do you do for good health? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.



To enjoy the glow of good health, people must exercise. For me, walking is the best possible exercise, particularly when walking fast. A vigorous long walk for its own sake will do good for the body and mind.



Unlike many other physical activities that also benefit the body, walking somewhat quickly, yet short of running out of breath, is labor almost without weariness. It proves to be the chief source of improvement in my physical faculties. I concentrate on exercise from the waist down since that is the laziest part of an individual's body, like after sitting too long in front of a TV or computer screen. I prefer this effortless exercise to bicycling or playing games because by going back and forth for miles I could feel more relaxed and comfortable. And that is why, time being not the issue, I would rather use my legs and feet than riding a bus or other means of weekday mass commuting. Even though there are times to be engaged in school sport activities, I have eventually found that walking as exercise is the cheapest and safest way to stay healthy.
