Spring Festival The Chinese New Year is called Spring Festival, it usually comes in February. There is a name for each year. It may be called the year of the dog or the year of the monkey. And this year is the year of the cock. Before the Now Year’s Day, the Chinese people usually give their houses a general cleaning. On the last day of the old year, there is a big family dinner. All members of the family try to be present at the meal. On the first day of the new year, people go to visit their relatives and friends.
