考研翻译中名词性从句举例：
The Greeks assumed that the structure of language had some connection with the process of thought , which took root in Europe long before people realized how diverse language could be . (2004,61)
Being interested in the relationship of language and thought , Whorf developed the idea that the structure of language determines the structure of habitual thought in a society . (2004,64)
But the idea that the journalist must understand the law more profoundly than an ordinary citizen rests on an understanding of the established conventions and special responsibilities of the news media . (2007, 48)
这是考研翻译中对名词性从句考查的三个典型的例子，其中第一个例句中包含两个宾语从句，分别是由that和how引导的，这两个宾语从句的位置和汉语中宾语的位置相吻合，所以不难处理。而后两个例句各包含一个that引导的同位语从句，前面已经提到汉语中没有这个成分，因此如何去准确、通顺、完整的汉语译文就需要一定的翻译技巧去进行语序等的调整了。
